"I got to learn about a different culture and practice a new language."
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned a lot about environmental justice and capitalism, things which I hope will continue to shape my life in the future. "
A student Middlebury College
"I left Morocco with a new awareness of my own capabilities. I was able to thrive in a country where I didn't speak the local language fluently, but I still had the best semester I've had yet. I would go back to Morocco in a heartbeat. I think studying abroad, wherever you go, is a great way to learn about the world and yourself...."
Sarah Schauber University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill
"My semester in Morocco through SIT's Multiculturalism and Human Rights program was absolutely worthwhile, not only because of the engaging academics and fascinating subject matter, but also because of the invaluable cultural knowledge and personal growth I gained from living in Rabat and traveling Morocco. "
Delaney University of Oregon
"People, more than places, will shape how you view things and the world at large. Chile is a great place to live and learn and has an interesting model for intercultural health. There are problems society faces everywhere due to historical events and there are lots of different solutions that can be used to tackle them. "
Rebecca G Brandeis University
"This program was very worthwhile. It was a wonderful cross-cultural experience that gave me a new perspective on the world. The people that I met (both Americans and Moroccans) were amazing and taught me so much about the world. I also learned a lot about myself, especially regarding what makes me happy and what is important to ..."
A student Bates College
"It was definitely worthwhile. I learned the most probably about myself and how I function far removed from all of my material comforts. "
A student Middlebury College
"During the time span of this program, I learned a wealth of knowledge about Morocco's history, culture, religion, and language. I was extremely surprised with how hospitable the people were, and how many good friends I made outside of the program."
Benjamin Stevenson Emory University
". The most important thing I learned while abroad was how to interact with and integrate into another culture. Living in a different country where I didn’t speak the native language taught me about my own strengths and weaknesses. I became aware of my own capabilities as I pushed myself into unfamiliar places and situations. My ..."
Audrey Ali Oregon State University

I was able to learn about issues facing the tropics and the world, as well as the local culture, local issues, and conservation tactics. I learned field study methods and ethnographic research methods. I also learned a lot about myself and ..."
A student Middlebury College

A student Brandeis University
"I learned that it is very important to have an open mind about everything. Studying abroad has taught me to try new things even if they are outside of my comfort zone (like trying a guinea pig). It was definitely worthwhile. "
A student Brandeis University
"I had the opportunity to work with some NGOs and governmental organisms, which I could never have had back here."
David P Middlebury College
"Not only did I learn about myself, I was able to learn how to stick up for myself (in Spanish) in difficult situations. The director and advisors of the program want you to feel like you have no control over the circumstances you are in if you do not agree with the way they are running things. It is important that as hardworking..."
A student Westminster College, UT

Anwyn D University of Massachusetts Amherst / UMass
"I have become a more confident, kind, and accepting person. Every second was worth it, I would not change any part of my experience. "
