"Yes, I am certainly more aware of French and world cultural issues and differences now and I also feel that I have gained a lot of confidence from the experience, not to mention friends who I experienced an amazing semester with. I hope to go back to Paris, if not to live there for more time, than certainly as a visitor!"
Tarryn W Tufts University
"Yes. It was great to be in a somewhat westernized city that is still very Chinese so that I could gain a better understanding of the world's newest superpower. Also just a fantastic city in general. I'd love to return there to work."
Carter R Tufts University

"My study abroad experience definitely helped me gain more social skills. The way I used to approach making friends and hanging out did not work in Japan, so I had to adapt. It was a difficult challenge, but the friends I did make, and the experiences I had with them, made it a wonderful experience. I am happy to have improved my..."

"It was definitely worth it. One of the best things is that I became a much better writer at Oxford. Also, I was able to tour a large portion of Europe during breaks and have now seen some of the most famous sites in the world. The whole experience definitely broadened my perspective and also allowed me to make comparisons with t..."

"I am more independent and confident in myself. I can live on my own in a big city, fly on airplanes by myself, take public transportation, and navigate it all in a foreign language. I definitely gained an international perspective. America bores me- I need to see more places and do more things!"
Andrea S Tufts University
"I think for me, my study abroad experience showed me what it is like to simply LIVE in another country, another culture, another language, another way of life. For me, it was extremely rewarding, exhilarating, sometimes frustrating, day-to-day and extremely new experience. I think I learned to accept that people aren't going to ..."

I am more serious about my education and my career plans, and I have language skills that I hope to use in my career as well. It was absolutely worth it, especially since I went for the whole year. "

"It was definitely a worthwhile experience. The program gives you the opportunity to really explore Hong Kong and parts of China. HKU itself was not that impressive, but the location was amazing.
