Tufts University has been a leader in global education for over five decades, offering a diverse array of study abroad programs that emphasize academic excellence, cultural immersion, and personal growth. Through Tufts Global Education, students can choose from ten Tufts-run programs in countries such as Chile, China, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, Japan, Spain, and the United Kingdom. These programs are designed to integrate students into the academic and social fabric of the host country, allowing them to continue their studies while gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
In addition to semester and year-long programs, Tufts offers short-term study abroad opportunities during the summer and winter breaks. These programs, often led by Tufts faculty, combine unique academic offerings with cultural learning and exposure. Examples include the Tufts in Pavia program, which focuses on Data and Computer Sciences and Italian culture, and the Tufts in Chile program, which examines public health and Indigenous communities. Furthermore, Tufts students have access to over 150 pre-approved external programs in more than 50 countries, providing a wide range of options to suit various academic interests and goals.
