"I think I learned to appreciate the resources I have at Middlebury a lot more. It was really good to get away from Middlebury, both the school and the city/town for a bit; I needed to spend some time away from it. I also met a flatmate who I still talk to every day so I am thankful that through some power + luck, I was placed in..."

"Absolutely, can't even describe how much you will learn about yourself, your home college/university, and the US. Not to mention what you will learn about Senegal and the amazing people who live there."

"It was so worthwhile. Do it. "
A student Middlebury College
"It was worth it and I learned a lot but I wish I had done a program, rather than direct enrolment in a university, where there was much less of a support system and the housing situation was not ideal"
A student Middlebury College
"Definitely worth while. I gained amazing new friends, an appreciation and understanding of Tanzanian culture, Swahili skills, and an amazing independent study project that I will most likely turn into a thesis. "

A student Middlebury College
"Talk with your fellow classmates about their art work and art-making process. The university made the point of reminding us that we are all rising professionals, and as such our opinions, thoughts, and dreams truly matter and will one day be a powerful force in moving the art world forward in our society. I learned just as much ..."

""Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves ... Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you wil..."

"I gained a lot of independence while I was away but also a greater appreciation for what I have at home. It was definitely a worthwhile experience, and I would highly recommend it. But it is what you make of it. "
A student Middlebury College
"I loved the traveling I got to do while in St Andrews and met some really fantastic people. The courses I took were interesting and very different from those I could take at home. However, St Andrews is really not all that different from a university you might find in the US. I would go abroad again in a heartbeat, but I think I..."
