"I learned a lot about myself in terms of how to overcome difficulties that I used to depend on others to help me with. NZ is a generally safe and easy country in which to travel, so I learned how to travel and hike alone which helped me realize that I could be more independent than I had been at Midd. This experience also helped..."

"I learned how to live up and do science research by myself in a foreign country. Most importantly, I was deeply touched and inspired by the professors here who cares about the environment deeply with their heart. To learn biology and conservation with these amazing people in Amazon and Galapagos? Of course it's so worthwhile!! "

"I learned to enjoy solitude. Most of the people I met in my dorm were not really concerned about anything that I was concerned about. People at the school were not very engaged in their program of study so I spent most of my time by myself. I suppose that is important. "
