"Had the best time of my life, wish I could go back tomorrow"
Lauren I The University of Texas at Austin
"As I tell everyone who asks, my study abroad experience was a non-replaceable, priceless time. While the academic component was not as strong as my home university, the experiences I had there and the non-book knowledge I gained go way beyond the classroom. This semester gave me so more out of my college years than a degree- it ..."
Amy T The University of Texas at Austin
"My study abroad experience was more than worth it. I learned what true conservation does (and does not) look like, everything there is to know about coffee, and that there are no quick fixes in life."
Marissa L The University of Texas at Austin
"My study abroad experience was not what I had expected. I was tricked into thinking the school I would be attending would be in Tokyo but it was in Chiba. This led to me spending more money on transportation to go into Tokyo and also not being able to stay out longer than 11pm or i would not make the last train to my home when p..."

Marc H The University of Texas at Austin
"Very worthwhile, I feel I gained more overall confidence and now feel like I could succeed in any European country. It cemented my desires of pursuing a more international faceted job as well."

"Hell yes!"
Shawn B The University of Texas at Austin
"I loved the experience. It was great getting to live in Ireland and become a part of that culture and get to make so many new friends. Every experience was a bonding one and while the cold was something hard to adjust to, now it's just one more story to tell everyone. I would recommend this program to anyone."
Kimberly K The University of Texas at Austin
"Yes it was worthwhile, I gained valuable experience for my future career, which I would have otherwise not learned."
Aubree D The University of Texas at Austin
"It was definitely worthwhile. I loved how each city I visited was different. The French can be incredibly nice and wonderful if you show them you are making an effort to understand their culture. I saw so much history, and I had the most fun just wandering the streets without dealing with all the touristy attractions. I can'..."
Stacey C The University of Texas at Austin
"I had so much fun traveling on the weekends with the other students that I met. All the kids in the MPA program were really nice and we all got along. One of the classes was interesting and the other was painful, but didn't last too long. Overall I am extremely glad that I took this opportunity because I got to meet some fun peo..."
Nicola V The University of Texas at Austin
"I ENJOYED BEING ABROAD AND TRAVELING. I REALLY ENJOYED ISLAMIC CULTURE IN SPAIN- IT WAS THE BEST CLASS I COULD HAVE TAKEN. I WISH THAT I HAD BEEN IN A BIGGER CITY WHERE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER TO TRAVEL TO OTHER CITIES. IF I WAS DOING IT ALL OVER I WOULD PROBABLY GO WITH A DIFFERENT PROGRAM- ONE THAT OFFERS AN APARTMENT WIT..."

"Studying abroad for me was so great. I feel that now I can go anywhere and really enjoy myself because Ive realized that im an open person and ready to experience new things. I plan on doing alot of travelling and have even considered to teach or work abroad in the future."
Bettie G The University of Texas at Austin
"Its made me want to do more with my life and see more of the world. I'm now considering peace corps and other options. "
Rebeka M The University of Texas at Austin
"I could never have learned all that I have about French culture had I not lived in France. During and after my study abroad experience, I found myself forming my own opinions about different aspects of the culture rather than reading about them in a book. Living in another country will definitely show you what all you take for..."
Alina S The University of Texas at Austin
"It was worthwhile, but I would not do it again. I went strictly to learn Portuguese, and it would have been best to go alone and take private classes and not be able to speak English in my free time. "
KANITRA F The University of Texas at Austin
"Almost everything for me has changed. My major, my career choices, my understanding of myself... I could go on and on. I gained such a vast array of experience from dealing with other cultures, to dealing with peers, to learning to accept myself. I wouldn't change this experience for the world. The only thing that was diffic..."

"Absolutely loved it. Suggest going abroad to everyone."
elizabeth m The University of Texas at Austin
"It was very worthwhile. I made some great friends (both French and American) and had some wonderful experiences. I also improved my language skills. I tried to stay in Nantes as much as I could on the weekends, which really enabled me to go out and make friends in my host city. However, the spring semester affords two opport..."
Jeanne M The University of Texas at Austin
"Yes, my study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile! This experience has strengthened my desire to continue learning Portuguese and pursuing academic pursuits in languages, because I see how useful learning languages really is."
Peter G The University of Texas at Austin
"My decision to travel was the best one I ever made, and studying abroad was a great medium for it. History books and guide books are no match for being right in the midst of a foreign culture. You notice that everything is at least subtly different if not drastically different. You realize what you like and dislike about your..."

"Although I was never interested in Chinese culture, and I always viewed their government and people as an entirety I could look down upon, I decided to travel to Beijing anyway. I have come back an entirely new person; I have a more positive outlook on other cultures and this program spiked a curiosity in Chinese history that wo..."
