"The experience is what you make of it. I believe that you can get as much as you want out of a study abroad regardless which program you go on. It is really a question of what the student puts into it."
Meredith K Tufts University

"The experience, especially my independent study gave me new direction to pursue a field in health care. Living in an apartment and in hostels has given me the confidence to live abroad in a Spanish speaking country. One of the things that I took away from it academically was the need to question my Western lens continually. "
Isabel H Tufts University

"The only thing I enjoyed about this semester was the opportunity to travel around Europe. My program was a total failure (unorganized, too much work, uninteresting), and Paris, as it turned out, just wasn't for me. "

"Studying abroad was definitely worth it. Being on my own in a completely foreign culture forced me to adapt and negotiate with my surroundings. It was difficult to be so far from my family and friends, and even more challenging to face racism for the first time, but the friendships I made and the experiences I had in Japan made ..."
