"Yes I am very satisfied with my study abroad experience. I loved Madrid so much that I decided to stay four more months, get a job and move into an apartment with spaniards I have never met. The culture is very relaxing and chill. it's definitely a place to have lot and lots of fun - you drink a coffee and chat with friends for ..."

"Yes, studying abroad was absolutely worthwhile. You learn to appreciate things that we have here in America and the way other people around the world live. Studying abroad gives you a more well rounded view of the world and current issues. Hong Kong is a great place to study because it accepts foreigners, yet is an exotic exp..."

"Great time. Realized that adapting to a new environment is always possible. "

"My study abroad experience was great. I didn't realize it as much at the time, but in retrospect, it was amazing. I loved Germany and it is truly a once in a lifetime experience to be able to live in another country. "
Kathryn C Tufts University
"Studying in Hong Kong was definitely once in a lifetime experience. Yes, you can instantly spot differences between Hong Kong and where you are from, but will soon realize that the different methods and traditions work just as well. If you want to be immersed in the culture, you have to actively seek out opportunities. It's very..."

"I discovered many new things about myself. I learned spanish. I discovered that there is more than one way to approach life, and that there is something to learn from that. I wish that everyone could do this, and i hope to be going back sooner than later."
Andrew S Tufts University
"Yes, it was extremely worthwhile. I learned a lot more about French cultural specifically and foreign culture in general. It was great to just interact with new people, speak a new language, and travel to parts of the world I had never seen."
Benjamin P Tufts University
"Yes. It opened up my mind to many more things than expected and instilled in me a newfound sense of independence. "

"It was absolutely worthwhile!! I didn't like my academic experience, but that has little to do with UCL and a lot to do with the British education system in general. London as a city is amazing, except for the miserable winter weather. There are tons of diverse and interesting people in London, from everyone in the world, so you..."

"Going to Paris offered a very Western-focused study abroad experience, and in one sense I regret that I didn't choose a French-speaking country that was more 'off the beaten path' and might broaden my perspective more than a semester in Paris. On the other side, I got to see the Eiffel Tower at least twice a day, eat some of the..."

"Studying abroad was worthwhile. I gained an understanding of global issues that I had never experienced before. I improved my Spanish, and I got to experience a whole culture that was very foreign to me. I could retreat into my enclave of American friends and establishments, but there were opportunities to venture beyond that. S..."

"With a majority of students coming from outside the UK, it was impossible not to leave SOAS with an incredibly global perspective. Since my time at SOAS I can't wait until I can get to Sub-Saharan Africa. It's clearly where I need to be heading with my life."
Catherine B Tufts University
"It was definitely worthwhile"
Amanda H Tufts University
"Yes it was worthwhile. I had fun and learned to deal with difficult situations. "

"It was wonderful. It made me a better student. I realized how much I love America. I discovered quirky British words, and things they do totally differently. Oxford is basically Hogwarts. I would highly recommend."
Alexandra C Tufts University
"I gained so much self-confidence in my abilities to live far from home, in a totally different country and in a big city. "

"Studying abroad was one of the most rewarding, enriching, and memorable experiences of my life. I made friends that I will hopefully forever remain in touch with. Saw sites that instilled a sense of awe, and a desire to travel the world to see more. Learned about a culture that I thought was exactly the same as America, but actu..."

"Being at Oxford made me take much greater ownership and initiative in my intellectual development and pursuits. Oxford's commitment is not only to rigorous scholarship, but also to personal investment and application of one's skills of reasoning to form unique and sophisticated opinions. In other words, the Oxford experience too..."

"Despite the difficulties of my host family, the disappointment with the academic rigor, and the cliquey-ness of the other students on the trip, I gained a lifetime friend, incredible access for my research, and a deep connection to Ireland. Definitely worthwhile."
Britt S Tufts University
"At the moment, I'm planning on getting my PhD in history. If that happens, it will be much more than a cliche to say that Oxford changed my life."
Rachel K Tufts University
"My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile; I learned a lot about myself, and experienced a lot of different cultures."

"This study abroad program is SO rewarding, and I cannot stress this enough! Honestly, it is very challenging to travel so much (we probably weren't in a location for more thatn 10-14 days). You are living out of a suitcase, constantly adjusting to new places (which can vary from a CHinese homestay to a hostel in India), but you ..."

"This was one of the most rewarding and fulfilling semesters of my life. I'm so glad that I chose to study abroad through this specific program. I gained amazing opportunities and will always remember it. Through my french friends, host family, french classes, travel, and other study abroad students, I really learned how to absor..."

"Absolutely worthwhile. Though it took a few days before I decided I didn't want to transfer to another, more serious program in Israel, it turned out to be an incredible experience. A great chance to party, get cultural exposure, and really learn about life in the region and in Israel. So many opportunities to explore the region..."
