Lauren H Tufts University
"It was definitely worthwhile. You learn if you love or hate the place in this process, and I want to go back there if I can and possibly work. "
Tansinee C Tufts University
"I pushed myself out of my comfort zone--since the program did not facilitate too much cultural immersion, I sought out opportunities myself. I had a great experience, for example, when I joined a salsa class by myself that was taught in Hebrew to Tel Aviv University students. I also enjoyed my classes and made an effort to get t..."

Bentley H Tufts University
"I think this was hard semester for both Middlebury and me. They were struggling to start up a new program on the fly, and this was my one semester to be Rebekah at large in the Middle East. Sometimes these goals conflicted. Nevertheless, I gained a lot of self-dependency, confidence, and real-life experience. If I hadn't taken t..."

Allison R Tufts University
"Yes, it was. It solidified a lot of my opinions, changed others, and in general answered a lot of big questions that were looming in the back of my mind. Although we ran into a lot of hiccups, the program was new last semester and we were the guinea pigs. Also it was my third choice of a program, I wanted to go to Aleppo in S..."

Meredith G Tufts University
"I know German. I am connected personally with art and music history. I am an internationally trained musician on my c.v. I made friends I'll never forget. I visited 11 cities. I am a more confident and capable person for having handled myself abroad. "
Belle H Tufts University
"YES!! "
Sarah S Tufts University
"It was among the best experiences of my life. If I had to do it again, I would have enrolled via a study abroad provider, like CIEE, since their program administration helps you avoid the hassles I encountered prior to arrival. I also would have lived with my friends if possible. Otherwise, I'd return in a heartbeat."
Jacob P Tufts University
"I loved this experience. It was great to try out a new culture and get a lot more comfortable with another language. The program through Tufts was great because they were really interested in helping us figure everything out without babying us. The resident director is great, as is the Tufts faculty advisor. "
Hailey A Tufts University
"My German improved immensely and at the end I felt like I belonged there. I gained a stronger desire to keep working on my German skills, since I totally fell in love with the culture. I plan on teaching English in a German-speaking country after graduation. "
Erin S Tufts University
"I would do this again in a heartbeat. It was eye-opening to move to such a different culture, and I grew a lot from this experience. All the financial and political turmoil Greece is currently going through gave me a new perspective on my own culture and how the US fits into global politics. "
