"I learned how to figure things out in a culture that is very different from the United States. I also had to make do with not knowing the language, and we all had to adjust to a different schedule and way of living. It was worthwhile because I got to know my students and they taught me so much about China!"

"I feel I learned a lot about the Chinese culture through my students. If I had gone abroad just to sight see I definitely would not have learned so much. I feel like I gained a lot of insight to what it is like being a student in China. It gave me many new friends that I plan on staying in touch with. "

"I absolutely loved my time in the culture and using the language. The program itself, expenses and challenges considered, I do not believe was worth it. It's hard to say whether I would do the same thing again or not because I loved my time there though I did not appreciate many aspects of the program."
