"Yes-it was a nice break from Wellesley but at the same time made me truly appreciate the academics we receive here. It also made me realize that there are bigger things in life to stress about and I think it calmed me down a little. "
Erin S Wellesley College
"Studying abroad was definitely worthwhile because I was able to see and learn more of the world. Although I enjoyed traveling before I went abroad, this experience has fueled my desire to travel abroad even more. I want to go abroad next summer and also during graduate school if possible. Studying abroad was also valuable becaus..."
Carole K Wellesley College
"Yes it was. London was a great city to be in. I really liked that I was just a short walk away from the center of the city. I was able to see all of London and I traveled around England and Europe. "
Sonja S Wellesley College
"My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile and I learned a lot about myself. First of all I now know that I do not like living in big cities and that I need to have easy access to outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, biking and running. I would not want to live in Buenos Aires for an extended period of time. On th..."

"My study abroad experience was priceless. It taught me about who I am and my own openness to different cultures. It motivated me to want to travel to as many places as I possibly can. It taught me how independent I can be and it provided me with a new set of international friends. It refreshed me and took away the stress tha..."

"I firmly believe every student, every human should live in a foreign country for at least a few months. It's really eye-opening. I think that my semester abroad was a good respite from Wellesley tunnel vision and ambition. I have a love/hate relationship with the school and I think I was ready for some space from all the Wellesl..."
Esther K Wellesley College
"I gained an appreciation for the subtleties of British culture, but the real benefit for me was the opportunity I had to explore a subject area unavailable to me at my home college. I'm actually looking to go back to Cambridge University for a graduate program in the field that I studied while in the program."
Rebecca R Wellesley College

Catherine w Wellesley College
"I feel that I gained a lot from having the new experience of living in London for a year (as opposed to a semester), which allowed me to interact with the people and the culture over a longer time period, and attending a UK institution, which is substantially different from those in the U.S. I also am happy about the intellectua..."
Alyssa N Wellesley College
"Yes. It has changed my view of the world and of my academic field. It is so wonderful to be able to see the world so differently now."
Emily D Wellesley College
"I gained a lot of independence, in terms of living-style and learning. It is difficult to learn to navigate a city all on your own! I would have liked more support from UCL, but my learning at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies allowed me to focus on my interests and take courses I couldn't take at Wellesley. This ..."

Elizabeth G Wellesley College
"Absolutely! One thing I realized is that in many ways I fit in in Europe better than in the US, from a cultural and ideological perspective. I am now looking for ways to perhaps lead my future path towards ending up working and or living somewhere in Europe. "

Sara R Wellesley College
"I learned so much it is impossible to distill down into a few sentences. I deepened my understanding of not only myself, but the world around me and my place and role within that world. I gained a self assurance and confidence, a deepening knowledge of who I am, what I am capable of and what I am becoming. I learned how it is ..."

"Yes it was definitely worthwhile. Not only was London a diverse city where I learned to adapt to the city lifestyle. I also experienced various cultures traveling throughout Europe.
