"Very worthwhile. I have much respect and admiration for Mexico's rich culture and people after this program. "
Madeline W Wellesley College
"Yes! I did not realize how much I would enjoy myself here. Academically, I am a better and more confident writer, analyzer, and speaker. Socially, the need to interact with unfamiliar people has enabled me to become more engaging in conversation and more aware of the many different types of people in the world. Above all, I ..."
Natasha R Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile. It improved my language skills greatly, it increased my cultural understanding of the country whose language and literature I am studying, it focused my academic and career goals, and was generally one of the most challenging and interesting years of my life. "
Anne Christine B Wellesley College
"The experience was worthwhile, but wasn't fulfilling academically. The experience is also heavily dependent on the people and group that you're with, and I feel that aspect could be something some people would not like. "
Jane P Wellesley College
"I wish I could have stayed for the whole year. I now have a new perspective on the world outside of Wellesley and I will take my experiences with me for the rest of my life. This trip has inspired me to consider graduate school and/or living in the UK after graduation."
Nina B Wellesley College
"I have no regrets from my semester at all; it was one of the most fun and incredible five months of my life. I visited over 10 countries and met people who hopefully I will keep in contact with for a very long time. My perspective on my academic interests and personal goals also changed. I have already traveled widely before thi..."
Samantha C Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile. It was rough at times, but I am glad I went. The academics were basically useless, but I am really glad that I got all of the experiences that I did. "
Elizabeth T Wellesley College
"Yes it was extremely worthwhile. The main reason that I came here was to learn the language. I have decided to stay here throughout the summer to make sure that I can return to Wellesley being able to fluently speak Spanish. That was the most important thing for me and I have had a ton of help with that since I have been here...."

"Everything we do is connected to the sea in some way. But most importantly, we do have the power to make a difference, whether it's in a concentrated ecosystem or some portion of the ocean or even in our daily lives. I didn't really know what I wanted to do before I did the program once I graduated from college. Now I know I wan..."
Kristin A Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile. I love the independence I gained by being abroad for nine months, and it made me much more confident about living entirely on my own. I also feel really lucky to have had access to so many cultural and arts activities, and for all the traveling I got to do."
Megan G Wellesley College
"I gained so much from the program. Great improvement in French, experience traveling alone, experience in practical things like living on my own, etc. I think I am now much more independent."
Eleanor F Wellesley College
"I know that I don't want to study in England, and definitely will not go there for my Masters, but would like to work in London."
Satomi G Wellesley College
"My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. It really went beyond the academics, and, for me, became about experiencing something completely different than anything I had experienced before. The greatest thing that the study-abroad experience will give you is relationships with wonderful people that, otherwise, you wou..."
Kristina M Wellesley College
"Yes, completely worthwhile. It made me more relaxed about my future, not to be so stressed out. To just learn and enjoy. Amazing environment, very liberal university with students ranging from such diverse backgrounds. I feel like i matured more during this year than I have in the past three. Which is great, considering graduati..."

"I was looking for a study abroad program that had architecture classes and preferably Spanish ones, too (since I had been taking Spanish and I major in Architecture). Barcelona is known for its art and architecture history and therefore the course content and cultural events I visited were unique for my purposes. The only disadv..."

"My study abroad experience was certainly worthwhile in exposing/teaching me about Italian society and culture, and improving my language skills. "
Tamar Z Wellesley College
"It was extremely worthwhile. I got to completely immerse myself into another culture and it really opened my eyes. Even though its very different than the states, I ended up loving the Spanish way of life and miss it already. I learned that only once you step outside your comfort zone can you really experience growth. "
Madeline B Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile as a travel experience, not as an educational experience. But the people are nice and welcoming. "
Deborah D Wellesley College
"My study abroad experience was wonderful. I learned things that I could not have learned at my college. The program made me realize my desire to pursue a future in medicine and global health, and gave me an entirely new perspective from which to view my country and the world. "
Katelin S Wellesley College
"My study abroad experience was worthwhile in ways that I cannot fully describe, probably ever. Choosing to study abroad in a developing country is a decision that is courageous, I think. Going somewhere that reveals your status as an upper-upper-class WORLD citizen (as opposed to your status as an American citizen) forces you to..."
Erinn B Wellesley College
"it was worthwhile in the sense that i got to spend time in Paris. I just didn't particularly like the type of education I received."
McGraw L Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile, but it was not what I wanted it to be. I'm glad I went, I had a lot of amazing experiences, and I learned how to cope with things that were not terribly favorable, particularly social environments and living arrangements. "
Karena P Wellesley College
"I am really happy I went abroad because it gave me the opportunity to have a different college experience and at the same time give me a chance to realize what I appreciate about my Wellesley college experience. "
Alexandra M Wellesley College
"Personally worthwhile (for fun and visits) academically so-so (some classes definitely worthwhile, others the point of showing up was almost just to sign the attendance sheet), German university experience certainly interesting. "
Lina H Wellesley College
"Absolutely. I had the most fun year I've ever experienced while in Cordoba, while also greatly improving my Spanish, meeting some amazing Spanish/American/French/English/Belgian friends, learning a ton about Spanish and Cordobesian culture, and getting a chance to exercise a more out-going, daring side of myself rather than the ..."
