"I love Denmark and after spending time here, I think I would like to attend graduate school here. The weather is terrible, but the society is pretty great. "
Allison C Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile, I'm very glad to have traded a year at wellesley for a year abroad. I learned that there is a whole big world outside my college life, and I gained a lot of confidence by living abroad and solving my own problems. I also got to travel through europe and northern africa a bunch. I think I have a bett..."
Danielle B Wellesley College
"Yes, I loved going abroad. I am happy that I only studied with PRESHCO for one semester because it is such a small program (Cordoba is a small city)."
Hannah K Wellesley College
"Incredibly worthwhile. Made me think more critically about my identity, why I am the way I am. Pushed my notions about Judaism, religion, society. Learned a lot about living with people, myself. "
Susan S Wellesley College
"I absolutely feel that my study abroad experience was worthwhile. I loved my host family, the city and the people that I met while I was abroad. I gained fluency, an understanding of colloquial phrases and accents, knowledge of a city with an amazing amount of history, and contacts in a country which I will definitely be visitin..."
Anna M Wellesley College
"Yes, yes, yes. I loved study abroad. My German improved rapidly and I have learned a new sense of independence that I hadn't yet received from studying in America. For the first time I was truly on my own. This has been a great way to make connections across the world."
Emily B Wellesley College
"Oxford provided the BEST experience of my academic and social life. My tutorials were challenging, but yet I was still able to find a balance between work and play. I also got to explore ten countries across the European continent, which I otherwise would have found quite costly to do. I made some truly meaningful friendships wi..."
Yaffa F Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile because I am a more resilient and resourceful person. I had alot of time to reflect and learn about myself. Like all bad experiences you end up learning alot and growing stronger. While there were some good things, the landscape, and some friends I made, the art I pushed myself to create, on the whole it was a ..."
Eliza M Wellesley College
"This was the most amazing experience of my life and I feel empty inside knowing that it's over."
Suzannah S Wellesley College
"Yes! Travelling was a dream! I really learned about living with other people, too. Having a roommate in your own apartment and living in your own apartment is really not the same as a dorm. I think I really learned the responsibilities of real life. Culturally, travelling really opened my world, and I loved it!"
Heather L Wellesley College
"YES! Learned so much about a new language, culture, religion. Lots of personal growth and confidence. Everyone should do it."
Rebecca W Wellesley College
"Independence, international exposure, city living."
Amanda F Wellesley College
"Very worthwhile. I have much respect and admiration for Mexico's rich culture and people after this program. "
Madeline W Wellesley College
"Yes! I did not realize how much I would enjoy myself here. Academically, I am a better and more confident writer, analyzer, and speaker. Socially, the need to interact with unfamiliar people has enabled me to become more engaging in conversation and more aware of the many different types of people in the world. Above all, I ..."
Natasha R Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile. It improved my language skills greatly, it increased my cultural understanding of the country whose language and literature I am studying, it focused my academic and career goals, and was generally one of the most challenging and interesting years of my life. "
Anne Christine B Wellesley College
"The experience was worthwhile, but wasn't fulfilling academically. The experience is also heavily dependent on the people and group that you're with, and I feel that aspect could be something some people would not like. "
Jane P Wellesley College
"I wish I could have stayed for the whole year. I now have a new perspective on the world outside of Wellesley and I will take my experiences with me for the rest of my life. This trip has inspired me to consider graduate school and/or living in the UK after graduation."
Nina B Wellesley College
"I have no regrets from my semester at all; it was one of the most fun and incredible five months of my life. I visited over 10 countries and met people who hopefully I will keep in contact with for a very long time. My perspective on my academic interests and personal goals also changed. I have already traveled widely before thi..."
Samantha C Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile. It was rough at times, but I am glad I went. The academics were basically useless, but I am really glad that I got all of the experiences that I did. "
Elizabeth T Wellesley College
"Yes it was extremely worthwhile. The main reason that I came here was to learn the language. I have decided to stay here throughout the summer to make sure that I can return to Wellesley being able to fluently speak Spanish. That was the most important thing for me and I have had a ton of help with that since I have been here...."
Diana D Wellesley College
"Everything we do is connected to the sea in some way. But most importantly, we do have the power to make a difference, whether it's in a concentrated ecosystem or some portion of the ocean or even in our daily lives. I didn't really know what I wanted to do before I did the program once I graduated from college. Now I know I wan..."
Kristin A Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile. I love the independence I gained by being abroad for nine months, and it made me much more confident about living entirely on my own. I also feel really lucky to have had access to so many cultural and arts activities, and for all the traveling I got to do."
Megan G Wellesley College
"I gained so much from the program. Great improvement in French, experience traveling alone, experience in practical things like living on my own, etc. I think I am now much more independent."
Eleanor F Wellesley College
"I know that I don't want to study in England, and definitely will not go there for my Masters, but would like to work in London."
