"Language near fluency, loving host family, a few local friends and friends within the program, much more knowledge of history and culture of the country, and learning to live more independently."

Hannah Klein Wellesley College
"I was able to learn a lot about myself though this experience and broaden my worldview while gaining a lot of knowledge that I can take to my majors. It was definitely worthwhile"

"While I didn’t find the program overly challenging, it was most definitely immersive and hugely helpful in improving language skills."

"Middlebury was a great language boot camp especially for poli sci/IR minded people. I also learned how to navigate relationships with my local host family and friends, as well as the city, independently - the program focuses on “guided independence” as a philosophy which I think is great."

"I think that the most valuable experience for me abroad was seeing the design world from another perspective, even though I would not have thought that Denmark would have much of a different view of the world from my own 'western' views. I learned to approach design projects with a different intent, and was shown more sides of e..."

"So worthwhile. I learned a different kind of independence. I learned resilience. I was able to see what life was like at another university in another country, which allowed me to both appreciate and constructively criticize my home university."

Emily Tran Wellesley College
"I learned how to function largely on my own without the safety net of my support systems from home and from Wellesley. While certainly worthwhile, my own mental preparation was lacking and detracted from my experience. However, I learned a lot about myself and my priorities. As a result of my study abroad experience, I have beco..."

"It was interesting to see how big universities run classes. It was also interesting to be in a co-ed school. My instructors were really excellent. I wish that they classes had met more often so I could've learned a bit more. "

"I had a good time in London, lots of art galleries, plays, musicals. Loved that. Also London is very student friendly, there are a lot of student discounts. UCL was fine but did not quite meet my expectation."
A student Wellesley College
