"It was so worthwhile! In addition to learning a lot about Scotland's culture and history I also became much more independent and self-reliant. "
Samantha Muller Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about independence and providing for myself. I also learned lots in all three of my classes, and from the friends I made. It was very worthwhile. "

"I learned a lot about Danish culture and education. As an educator and child rights activist, I will take what I learned and apply it wherever I go."
Alejandra I Escamilla Wellesley College
"I learned so much from the students I met there and I started building a network in Berlin mostly through my internship. Would do it again because of these friendships and connections. "

"The clinical portion of this program was great. Other than that, I think there's a huge need for improvement from both sides (wellesley and jacobs) in informing students of what will be provided and what won't be. There is serious improvement needed on Jacobs' side in terms of supporting their international students that I did n..."

"I gained a new sense of autonomy and really got a chance to see my flaws and work on them. I also gained amazing lifelong friends and I mean that."
Ni'Shele Jackson Wellesley College
"The Clinical experience I gained and travels made the experience worthwhile."
A student Wellesley College
"Was worth it for the traveling. No school will be better than Wellesley's but most will be less work. "
Maxine Hood Wellesley College
"I learned that sometimes you need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable because sometimes that is when your most profound experiences occur."
Francesca Dong Wellesley College
"I learned language skills and how to live and travel in a foreign country."
A student Wellesley College
"I definitely learned a lot about how people live in different countries (e.g. food, culture, habits, healthcare systems etc.). I also got to see a lot: I especially liked seeing the art, architecture, and landscapes of different countries. I also gained a lot of experience with planning when I organized travel plans. I also got ..."

"My favourite part about studying abroad were the different perspectives I got access to. I was able to speak with many Russians, and see how they live their lives and what they think about the world--I think it has made me a more open person!"
Sydney Hopper Wellesley College
"I went outside my comfort zone, and now my comfort zone is larger. I learned how to be grateful while others complained, and things don't have to be perfect to be invaluable. It was important for me to enjoy Germany, and I was happy to soak in their cultural quirks. In the face of adversities, I gained independence and resilienc..."

"The most valuable aspect of studying abroad in London was learning to live independently. Budgeting, cooking, and time managing are some of the skills I developed during the semester. I would say I now feel more comfortable living on my own, adjusting to an urban setting, and balancing my time --the experience was definitely wor..."

"I think a clarity and confidence about myself and my goals as well as a firmer perspective on the many different women of color navigate social spaces both here and abroad. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned what it means to be a global citizen and it was more than worth it. "
Morinade Stevenson Wellesley College
"I certainly learned how to live practically and how to deal with disaster. For some unknown reason nothing at all ran smoothly or well. Whenever (by which I mean nearly every single time) I had important, specific, or simple tasks to complete, I was met with innumerable road blocks. For instance, I was not registered in classes ..."

"I gained a better understanding of life in Jordan an acquired sharper language skills. The only way to truly learn a language is to be immersed and to be forced to utilize it in class and in everyday life. For this reason, CET is a very worthwhile program. "

"What it's like studying under the Oxford education system"
A student Wellesley College

Kelechi Alfred-Igbokwe Wellesley College
"It was a valuable experience to study abroad and meet different people. I enjoyed the balance of academics and free time."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to study more independently without assistance and learned how to cook. "
A student Wellesley College
"By being exposed to people who don't think so similarly to me, I was challenged to question myself every day: Is there a better career path for me that I haven't considered because it's not popular in the US? Is there a better way to do higher education? Is there a more interesting thing to study for me that isn't offered in the..."

"I had already been to China multiple times, so I didn't really experience the culture shock or feel like I was in "a new world" or anything like that. It was a more interesting and worthwhile experience in terms of personal independence living abroad than cultural immersion/exchange."
