"Expanded my interests, made me realize how fun school and adult life can be, made me consider things from a new point of view and open my mind beyond my small campus bubble. Totally worthwhile."

"My favorite part of this program was the travel breaks. I went on DIS study tours for two of the three travel breaks, and both of those trips were perfectly organized and very fun. I learned how to live on my own with this program, and I learned a lot about all of Europe, not just Denmark."

"I think the things that really stuck with me from abroad were more life lessons. I did a lot of things that I had never done before and I did them completely on my own, without a real safety net. I did a lot of traveling, I had to regularly cook for myself, and I had to figure out local transit systems on my own. I think that my..."

"I am not as worldly as I thought, people under stress become allies. Yes I think I was worthwhile, but better for me in the longterm than right now"

"Absolutely worthwhile. I gained a much more critical perspective on the US and on Americans (and I already had a critical perspective). I learned too much to even begin to pull together in this box."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about myself and really broke out of my comfort zone. I had never traveled all by myself before and that was such a valuable experience. As a Women's and Gender Studies it was really great learning about society from a different perspective. "

A student Wellesley College
"I gained more independence, got to travel across Europe and immerse myself in new cultures. It was an intense experience, packed at every moment with discoveries and delights. I only regret my time there was so short. "

"This program came at a personal cost but I would without a doubt participate again. I learned so much about the Italian culture and the people in this country that I could not have learned in any course. I also had the opportunity to explore different courses and learn material I would never have taken the time to learn in my bu..."

"I had an amazing experience studying abroad in London. I met a lot of new people, traveled to a lot of new places, and learned a lot of new things. London is the perfect place to study abroad; there are countless opportunities to explore the city and it's location is optimal for traveling to different countries in the UK and in ..."

"My time abroad taught me that I can do anything. Between international and cross-continental travel, navigating new cities in a foreign language, making myself at home in a different culture, and immersing myself in a dynamic experience, I learned I am able to adapt to anything. Studying abroad gave me so much self-confidence, a..."

"I learned more about myself than I did academically. I learned a lot of personal and life skills that definitely made the experience worth it overall, but there were times when I definitely struggled."
A student Wellesley College
"Although I did not particularly like the academic system in the UK, I had an amazing experience living in London and getting the chance to visit other European countries! It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I am so glad that I chose to study abroad here."
A student Wellesley College
"I definitely believe my study abroad experience was worthwhile. When I was initially searching for a program, I knew I wanted to challenge myself and really learn about a topic I am passionate about. I think IHP really enriched my understanding of the world and people and I cannot imagine myself in the future doing something unr..."

"Not only did I dramatically improve my Italian language skills and thoroughly enjoyed all of my courses, I learned how to be more independent. It is a great feeling to have gained ownership of and become comfortable in a place that you had barely known three months previously. "
