Overall Experience
Completely worthwhile. I came not believing I would really learn the language, and was scared of living and learning with Italian students. Those aspects of the program that scared me most ended up being he best part. I explored a culture, stuck through the uncomfortable part (out of necessity) and earned so much for it. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned more about myself: what I like and dislike and what new things I want to try. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Vale La Pena
Worthwhile for sure. I learned how to cook, how to roll a joint, how to chill out, and how to travel. What more could you ask for? - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned many things about the Italian language and was able to befriend several locals. It was fantastic. - Bowdoin College View Entire Review
My semester in Bologna was definitely worthwhile. I can now say that I llived with Italian students, studied Dante with native speakers, and traveled to more cities than I thought possible in such a short time while still getting to know Bo. I wouldn't want to have studied abroad anywhere else. - Vassar College View Entire Review
Past Review Meraviglioso!
It was definitely worthwhile! I improved my language skills, became a more experienced traveller, and became more independent overall. - Wesleyan University View Entire Review
Past Review I Love Italy
very worthwhile- so happy that i did it, i recommend a year abroad to everyone - Wellesley College View Entire Review
The ECCO program was extremely worthwhile because it gave me the chance to become fluent in Italian by requiring me to use it on a daily basis and in a variety of settings. I also learned valuable information about Italian history, art, literature, food, music, and culture! - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a lot both personally and academically. I really enjoyed experiencing a different university system and gaining different insights. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Yes it was worthwhile! I gained a ton of confidence that I've now brought back with me to campus and is helping me deal with adapting to my return from abroad. I discovered a lot about myself, like the things that are important to me (happiness, no stress, friendship, exploration, intellectual freedom, curiosity, health). This e... - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I wanted to work on my Italian and it was definitely worthwhile. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the culture, the food and the art in Italy. It was a different kind of education. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Interesting
Yes. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
The main thing I learned is Italian. There is no better or faster way to learn a language than living in the country in which it is spoken and in the process I learned about a different culture. The tempo, people, and way of life is so different in Italy than from the U.S.. I really see myself living here in the future. The prog... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Can't really reduce this answer to a little box because I learned so much and grew in so many ways, so I'd definitely say it was worthwhile. - Bowdoin College View Entire Review
Past Review Best Semester!
My semester abroad was probably the best thing I've done in college. It was an incredible experience, Bologna is amazing, Italy is amazing. - Bowdoin College View Entire Review
The experience itself was a dream come true! I learned about myself and how I can further become a global citizen. It was worth every penny!!! - Wellesley College View Entire Review

Past Review Ecco Bologna
Improved my language skills and challenged myself academically. Yes, worthwhile. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
There's so much that I gained from my experience that I cannot write it all in a small box... However, I would do it a million times over. It was extremely worth while. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Italy. Just Go.
So much. I don't even know where to begin. Totally worthwhile, though it wasn't necessarily the best time for me emotionally to be abroad (my sophomore year was turbulent to say the least). I had a lot of time for self-reflection. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself intellectually and living in a foreign country. I think my experience was definitely worthwhile. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Studying abroad was fundamental in my understanding of the Italian language and culture. It was a worthwhile experience that allowed me to experience a completely different culture and environment than I had been exposed to from a student's point of view. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Insight, broader perspective on life, the importance and unimportance of certain aspects of life, - Wellesley College View Entire Review
