I actually learned a lot about myself. Mainly, I learned that is a waste of time to judge people for being exactly who they are. Example: Why get mad at our Italian teachers for they more relaxed syllabus when that's how they've always done it and it works? Enjoy the new pace and learn as much as you can. Why get frustrated at a... - Saint Olaf College View Entire Review
While I learned in the classroom, I learned much more about myself and gained independence. I learned a different culture and made great friends without knowing anyone going into my 3.5 stay. It was incredible. - Franklin & Marshall College View Entire Review
Definitely worthwhile. I loved Milan so much and I'll be sad to leave it. - University of Hartford View Entire Review
The most important thing I gained from this summer abroad was the work experience - my internship was perfect for my career goals, and having international experience doesn't hurt. It was worthwhile, although it may not have been worth the cost if I hadn't had such a good internship placement. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
Now that I am home, the program abroad has impacted my life greatly. I have changed what I have wanted to do with my life. I want to become completely fluent in Italian. This program made me want to take a test for the translator's certificate for Italian, English, and Japanese. This program has made me appreciate who I am and w... - Fordham University View Entire Review
I learned an immense amount about the Italian culture - cuisine, language, history, politics. It was a beautiful experience! I also learned a lot about myself - what my strongest interests and passions are, and what I am capable of. - Haverford College View Entire Review

I learned a lot about many different cultures, but I also learned a lot about myself. I learned to push myself outside my comfort zone, which always pays off in the end. - Purdue University View Entire Review
I worked with some very talented instructors. Some of them have had books published in several languages. Others taught at the conservatory in Milan such as the music theory instructor and our vocal instruction. The acting coach had a residency at the Piccolo Theatre in Milan. In addition, La Scala was only a 15 minute walk from... - Illinois Wesleyan University View Entire Review

I learned a lot about myself. Things didn't go quite as I had imagined, but it helped me realize a lot of what i do and do not want in life. It also forced me to face challenges on my own, which helped me grow as a person. It was definitely a worthwhile experience. I wouldn't trade it for anything. - Bentley University View Entire Review

I am mountains more confident. Being abroad has made me want to jump on opportunities much more than I have in the past. Some of the things that I could chalk up as negative aspects of my time abroad have even inspired me. For example, there was very limited access to practice rooms to sing here. Practicing is ESSENTIAL. I feel ... - University of Hartford View Entire Review

Incredibly worthwhile! It should be something every college student does - it challenged me in ways I would have never experienced without leaving the comfort zone of the US. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
Through my experience abroad I gained a better understanding of the world, of Italy, and of the U.S. It made me reflect on our customs and traditions and especially the differences in our cultures.
