I learned a lot about independence as well as adapting to a more relaxing and easy going way of living. My Spanish also improved immensely! A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about adaptability and I learned a lot about myself. I learned that different countries have different ways of life and that no single one is correct. I learned that you have to get out of your comfort zone in order to meet interesting people and also in order to discover things about yourself. A student - Trinity University View Entire Review

It was all worthwhile because I was able to constantly practice my Spanish. I was not confident in my Spanish speaking skills going into the program but after four months, I believe my skills have significantly improved. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned how to be independent and to understand a city and a culture from my own perspective and to take things for what they are. It was very worthwhile and if I could I would do it again. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I learned a TON about Argentina in general. I also learned how to be alone and be content alone (coming from dorm life in the US, it can be surprisingly uncomfortable). It was 150% worthwhile - no one can take this experience away from me. A student - Fordham University View Entire Review

It was definitely worthwhile. I think I'll still be figuring out what exactly I learned from the experience long after my return date because it's given me a new, different perspective on my experiences before, during, and after the program. I became much more independent and self-reliable. I know that I will be able to pull through for myself, and that I will alway be there for myself. I am much more autonomous and emotionally independent, as I only had myself to cry to for 5 months (family and friends were very supportive, but they couldn't be there with me). I am... I learned how to be independent in a foreign nation without my native language. I learned that patience is key, and also being adaptable b/c things often changed and plans had to be reevaluated.
