Overall Experience
I learnt about the local culture in Scotland, and made amazing friends. I also learnt how to travel by myself, and be more independent. Even though the overall experience was great, it was not really related to the University of Edinburgh itself, as most of my classes were not taking place during the majority of the semester. It was definitely worthwhile! I learned a lot about how to face challenges on my own, and how to welcome new experiences instead of shying away from them. Living on your own in a foreign city is daunting, but makes you such a better person at the end! - Brandeis University View Entire Review
This experience was incredible! I learned how to live and manage my life while exploring and pursuing academics. It pushed me outside my comfort zone as well as encouraged me to be adventurous and take on new tasks. - Scripps College View Entire Review
I gained lifelong friends, a higher level of academic intrigue, cultural understanding of the U.K., and had the support and ability to travel to many other countries and experience Europe fully, while still immersed in my community in Edinburgh. - Gustavus Adolphus College View Entire Review

I gained a greater appreciation of my own judgements and opinions but gained a much broader perspective of those around me or have never met before. It was definitely worthwhile. - Texas Lutheran University View Entire Review

People are similar everywhere, but culture plays a really important part in the personalities of the people you meet. There is always something else to see. - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was completely worthwhile and I would do it again in a second. I had an amazing experience and became much more independent. The city is beautiful and I was able to learn about Scotland and take a great computer science course. - Tufts University View Entire Review
I gained an entire undergraduate thesis topic/project! As well as local friends with whom I've started to feel like part of a community and can see and get to know better when I return. It was so worthwhile!! - Colorado College View Entire Review
gain so much stronger academic background/knowledge. although it was insanely busy, almost couldn't handle it. absolutely worth it - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Absolutely worthwhile. I met all sorts of people and learned a lot about the world -- and America -- from them. I was also able to learn more about myself, too. It was sort of like living freshman year all over again, which sounds like a nightmare, but it gives you chance to explore something new about yourself, something you di... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned a lot more about myself, as expected, what makes you tick, what you need vs what you want. What makes you happy, what drives you crazy. All in all I would do it all over again in a split second, wish I was there now. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned how to live independently and travel independently. I have also gained a better understanding of UK culture, and the cultures of the other places I traveled to. It was definitely worthwhile. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
