Absolutely. I am thankful for every single experience I had while studying away. Caitlyn J - Pacific Lutheran University View Entire Review
After my semester abroad, I am now more than sure that I want to go back and work somewhere on the African continent. Knowing what I know now, I can no longer sit comfortably and watch the world go by. Doreen N - Tufts University View Entire Review
Even though I was bothered by many aspects of the program, I ultimately learned a lot from it academically and personally. I already had international exposure and had traveled extensively, but living in Brazil made the experience entirely different. I am more aware now of justice and political issues that I didn't pay attention... Claire d - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It's a great program, very intense experience studying one topic so in-depth. We had a lot of fun along the way too. You are not supposed to leave Ireland/Northern Ireland during the study abroad program, so this is more of a deep experience in one country than a backpacking across all of Europe experience. We also spent quit... Caitlin D - Washington University in Saint Louis View Entire Review
The program was often frustrating but the experience of living in Salvador was unique, enriching, beautiful and worthwhile. Phoebe S - Wellesley College View Entire Review
My experience was worthwhile, and I became fluent in Portuguese during my time there. Priya N - Tulane University View Entire Review
Completely worthwhile. You cannot beat going somewhere and learning from people who have had such different experiences than your own. I learned about forgiveness and thought about it in new ways and it really got me to thinking about other things. I think you just learn to open your eyes and see what is going on and not always ... Absolutely, this experience was worthwhile. I discovered a beautiful island, with beautiful, friendly people, and had the opportunity to travel a lot within the country (both with the SIT group and independently) and see how different it was from one end to the other. I realized (as did most students) that I was more confident... Aoife - Tufts University View Entire Review
This experience was very worthwhile. I was able to gain a sense of different perspectives from people which I thought really enhanced my learning experience. It has definitely raised my cultural awareness and help me appreciate the value of other cultures. There is without a doubt that I'll be back some day. My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. Katie D - Carleton College View Entire Review
The experience, especially my independent study gave me new direction to pursue a field in health care. Living in an apartment and in hostels has given me the confidence to live abroad in a Spanish speaking country. One of the things that I took away from it academically was the need to question my Western lens continually. Isabel H - Tufts University View Entire Review
I gained an unimaginable amount of independence and self-reliance. Claudia H - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
One thing only: after I studied abroad in Mexico I have come to one conclusion, I moving to Mexico after I graduate in May 2011!!! Daniela N - Austin College View Entire Review
Despite the difficulties of my host family, the disappointment with the academic rigor, and the cliquey-ness of the other students on the trip, I gained a lifetime friend, incredible access for my research, and a deep connection to Ireland. Definitely worthwhile. Britt S - Tufts University View Entire Review
I would do it again for sure. It was a way for me to really experience and see the things I want to do in my future. I enjoyed the research project, because I picked something I was really interested in and got to see so much health care and understand the system behind it. All of those moments whether it was walking down the st... Julia S - Tufts University View Entire Review
