I learned a ton of spanish, I became more independent, I am less self-conscious, my compassion and love for humanity (in its million different forms and places of life) grew greatly, I appreciate the opportunity to get an education so much more and I have more respect for others in that we each have wonderfully complex lives and... - Trinity University View Entire Review

I learned a lot about how I can appreciate my life back in the United States and what are the things that are most important to you. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I learned to leave fear behind and dive right into what I want to do. I also learned the values of independence and true friendship. It was completely worthwhile. - Wartburg College View Entire Review
I learned a lot of Spanish and this was great. It was definitely worthwhile for me. - Wartburg College View Entire Review
It was incredibly worthwhile, I learned a lot about myself as a person and my capabilities. My Spanish greatly improved. I was able to share with Argentinian friends my culture as an American and learn about our differences. I met some wonderfully kind, open, loving Cordobeses that are hospitable and welcoming, in a way that I h... - Samford University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the local culture and how it is possible to live with minimal materialistic items and with less space. I personally do not need 80% of the items in my room and I also feel more appreciative of how easy living is in the US. It was a challenging and worthwhile experience overall. - Ithaca College View Entire Review
Yes, I learned a lot more about my own comfort zone and taught myself how to step out of my boundaries in uncomfortable situations in order to embrace a whole different and exciting culture. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I think I definitely changed from my study abroad experience- it has changed my perspective on a lot of things in my life. I feel that now I am more confident in decisions that I make. - Trinity University View Entire Review
Living in Argentina was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I learned a lot about myself and came back a more open and confident person. I know I will always have a family and a home in Cordoba. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
Before I went to Argentina South America seemed to be almost this forgotten vestige of the world. It's seems so separate from the US, Eurasia, and Africa. But now it seems such much closer, so much more open and I really want to travel and become acquainted with more South American countries. - Austin College View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with The Center for Cross-Cultural Study: Córdoba, Argentina
I learned to trust myself. I gained confidence. My Spanish improved worlds. I also learned that while I loved my experience and would do it all over again if I could, I don't have the same thirst to live abroad forever that I used to have. I learned that I love to travel and that I want to travel abroad or live somewhere for a b... - Austin College View Entire Review

To learn a language you can only use that language. Falling back on English and not fully immersing oneself will not better your language skills - Wartburg College View Entire Review
I think through this program I learned that I don't need to be afraid to use my spanish and that I do know how to speak pretty well. I definitely gained a lot of confidence in myself - Wartburg College View Entire Review
It was absolutely worthwhile. I guess I already knew this, but the idea that life is about the time spent with la gente buena, rather than what you've got in your pocket or in the bank is the biggest piece that I took away. - University of Maine - Farmington View Entire Review
I learned more about my ability to interact with people who come from different backgrounds and learn how similar we are. Also, I learned to adapt to various environments! - Wartburg College View Entire Review
I learned that I am in control of my own experiences, that I can adjust to a new environment (especially a giant city), that I can find good people and good places wherever I go, and that I have the rest of my life to explore so it's okay if every moment isn't filled with meaning and perfection. In those ways, and others, it was... - Ithaca College View Entire Review

It was absolutely worthwhile. I have gained so many relationships that I hope will last a lifetime: my host family, loves, friends, housemates, Americans, etc. I have proven to myself that I can accomplish a lot, that I can flourish in situations that are challenging, that I have a whole life ahead of me to do whatever I want an... - Ithaca College View Entire Review

It was VERY worthwhile because I was able to become fluent in spanish all the while enjoying living in a foreign country. I don't know as of yet how much I have changed or if my academic interest have changed, all I know is that I feel different, but a good different. - Austin College View Entire Review
I think I may end up working abroad when I graduate. I am not sure which country I will end up going to but living in Argentina has given me the confidence that I can survive within a program in a Spanish speaking country. - Wartburg College View Entire Review
I came back from abroad lightyears ahead of where I was before I left. Friends and family have commented on how much I have grown as a person and matured. It is impossible to go abroad and not come back changed. I am still the same person with the same set of values and the same personality, but I know myself better and the way ... - Trinity University View Entire Review
