I learned how to be much more self-sufficient, and I learned more about British culture, and the international culture and lifestyle of London. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. I learned a lot about being on my own and taking care of myself, and had a great time traveling and meeting new people. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

Got to learn in a very different environment from home and make lots of friends A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

confidence, adaptability, experience in living on my own in a foreign country, making friends from other cultures, navigating a completely different educational system, cooking for myself Ruby S - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was more than worthwhile to study abroad at UCL. The academic structure is quite different, so I learned how to adapt to that academic environment. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I think at Wellesley I often get bogged down with stress and little homework assignments, but studying abroad I learned to use my time more efficiently since I wanted to spend less time studying and more time exploring. I also learned that I can learn the same amount and do just as well in school being a lot less stressed. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
What made my experience worthwhile was the ability to travel and interact with so many cultures and people. It's very easy to travel from London and while you take courses at UCL. I took flights to other countries during weekends and during the month-long Easter Break during the whole of April. After visiting so many places that... Mostly, I gained wonderful experiences with new people and in terrific places. The travelling was by far the best part, aside from living in London. I had so much fun in London and on trips. Evelyn T - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Absolutely. I learned what it is like to cook for myself. I am now comfortable traveling alone. The easier academic schedule allowed me to spend a total of three months traveling through Europe where I met loads of amazing people. I loved my overall experience. I learned a lot about living independently, and I also learned a lot about international life - both living abroad, and making international friends. It was most definitely worthwhile! I absolutely loved it. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I made really good friends that I still stay in contact with. It was very worthwhile. I would recommend to all my friends. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned about different cultures, food, and countries. That was worthwhile. Kai J - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was not worthwhile. Administration was slow and I felt unsafe in the area surrounding my dorm (Max Rayne). C S - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I had an amazing experience studying abroad in London. I met a lot of new people, traveled to a lot of new places, and learned a lot of new things. London is the perfect place to study abroad; there are countless opportunities to explore the city and it's location is optimal for traveling to different countries in the UK and in ... Although I did not particularly like the academic system in the UK, I had an amazing experience living in London and getting the chance to visit other European countries! It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I am so glad that I chose to study abroad here. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned so much about myself and definitely felt as though I've grown as a person. Studying abroad was absolutely worthwhile. I'd recommend everyone to try it (just not at this school). A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Bigger universities care more about post-graduates and research A student - Middlebury College View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. I didn't realize going in how helpful it would have been to be a part of a study abroad program, rather than directly enrolling. I sometimes felt lost, as UCL is so big, and London is so big. It would have been great to have a program to direct us in that first week or two, to help get my bearings. ... It was worthwhile in that I learned a lot about myself and what I prefer. I learned to appreciate my home college a lot more, and I learned how to adapt to education systems that may not suit me very well. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Yes it was worthwhile. It makes me consider going back there for career/further education. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned how to be independent in a big city and how to adjust to a new environment. However, there was little integration into the local culture. Lily L - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I hadn't traveled before so I think it was really great to just be somewhere other than the U.S. and get to know the culture/political climate/way of life. I also was able to travel all over Europe for not very much money, which was awesome. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
