Yes! This was one of the most important things I chose to do during my undergraduate studies. Southeast Asia is an often overlooked area of the world, but it is one of the most interesting. Home to several emerging economies, some monarchies and democracies, and sandwiched between India and China, studying in any country in S... - Birmingham-Southern College View Entire Review

About

WorldStrides provides an unbeatable study abroad experience in Thailand's cultural capital of Chiang Mai. Along with taking courses in Southeast Asia studies, students can dive deep into Thai culture thanks to Chiang Mai's affordable cost of living, hundreds of Buddhist temples, vibrant markets, emphasis on art and architecture, and welcoming people! Your semester and summer studying in Thailand includes an orientation program, cultural excursions, academic field trips, plus special opportunities to volunteer around the city. Students also benefit from the guidance and support of on-site Resident Director and academic staff throughout their stay.

Thailand is home to many temples, has a lot of culture, history, and the cuisine, especially street food, is known to be very good.

MUIC is a good fit for students wanting a Thai university experience close to Bangkok.

Students will fully emerge into Thailand during the 4-day orientation in the southern Krabi province

Thailand is a great jumping off point to explore further afield in neighboring countries such as Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar and more.

Thailand is a draw for many students due to its tropical climate, beautiful beaches, temples, ancient ruins, hiking trails and other activities.
