About

Study abroad in Florence, Italy at the Florence University of the Arts (FUA) and Apicius International School of Hospitality (AISH) or at the New York Film Academy (NYFA). Students will spend time mastering their artistry in one of the most diverse artistic cities in the world in so many facets. They will explore all of the history and architecture that Florence has in store to get a lifetime worth of inspiration. We offer excursions that are included in the program cost. Destinations include Rome, Cinque Terre, Siena, and central Italy. Students will immerse themselves in the culture of Italy during an amazing semester or summer abroad.   • Florence is known as the cradle of Renaissance with artists such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, Botticelli, Lorenzo de Medici, Brunelleschi, Ghiberti, Machiavelli, and more emerging from the city during the 15th and 16th centuries. 

  • Europe’s three active volcanoes are all located in Italy: Etna and Stromboli are in Sicily, and Vesuvius is in the Campania region. 

  • Italy, and southern Europe in general, has a laid- back culture. If you are interested in working to live, Italy is the place for you 

  • The Italian peninsula is largely located in the Mediterranean Sea, with over 7,600 kilometers of coastline. 

  • The historical sites in Italy make for a very unique learning experience.

Statistics

WorldStrides Scholarships

WorldStrides will award one scholarship each year to a participating student for the full list price of the ISA program. The GO Full-Ride Scholarship can be used for an ISA program and covers the full program fee. In order to be considered for this scholarship, all applicants must apply and meet the eligibility requirements for one of the other ISA scholarships by the deadline. There will be one GO Full-Ride Scholarship awarded per year.

Deadlines:
Summer: February 28th Fall: April 30 Winter/Spring: October 30th

Guidelines/Requirements:
• Be accepted to a WorldStrides study abroad, internship, or community engagement program. • Have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA. • Have completed at least one year of college level foreign language or the equivalent. Courses must appear on official transcript. • Be enrolled in second or third year of undergraduate education at a U.S. university/college at time of program participation. • Be on financial aid. FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) and home university Award Letter/form required. **Please refer to the ISA scholarship page for more information on guidelines/requirements.

We believe in expanding access and increasing opportunities for individuals from various backgrounds to become global learners by reducing financial barriers. This scholarship is intended for summer and semester students looking to create an impact on the world around them, bringing their own personal perspectives to an international experience.

2 x $1,000 for Summer Programs; 3 x $2,000 for Fall Programs; 3 x $2,000 for Winter/Spring Programs
