I would definitely recommend this program. I had an incredible experience combining Study Abroad with Service Learning in El Hospital del Nino while staying with a Peruvian host family. My language skills improved immensely, I gained an appreciation for the Peruvian culture, and met wonderful people from around the world. To some up what I learned in a couple sentence would be impossible. I learned so much about Peruvian culture, the governmental systems, about the people, and some of the realities of developing nations. Obviously my Spanish improved immensely, but also my desire to travel the world as well as my complete love for the Spanish lan... Monika L - Texas A&M University - College Station View Entire Review

I have studied abroad in three countries now and this program was my personal favorite. You have the unique chance to experience life in two other countries instead of one, and they contrast each other in the perfect way. If not this program, study abroad in another. Going through your entire college experience without studyi... Kevin M - University of Nebraska- Lincoln View Entire Review
Absolutely, and for going the first time, I would recommend using a program, but next time, I would go on my own because I know more now and the activities and support among other things would not be as worth the money for me. Kaley H - Kansas State University View Entire Review

Definitely worth it. I gained a handful of lifetime friends and a new appreciation for other cultures. A person must be aware though, Going to Peru will give you the travel bug and one will never want to stop. Lori H - Creighton University View Entire Review
I would have done the year program again but would have taken both semesters in spanish, or had half spanish and half english classes each semester. The cliche is you regret what you don't do..I would have taken more risks, seen more things, gotten out of the house more, taken more difficult courses... I am more appreciative of other culture and ways of life. Americans tend to feel like the world revolves around us and our beliefs. Going to Peru made me realize that different isn't necessarily bad. And at the end of the day, our differences are what make us unique and give us an amazing story to share. Because of the opportuni... Hannah T - Pace University View Entire Review

I have gained so much from my internship abroad. One of my main goals of going abroad was to see how various countries and cultures are intertwined with one another. It was interesting to see how in one large metropolitan city can have so many different districts that vary in style and culture. I must say interning abroad was de... 110% worth my while. I use a completely different lens to view the world. I appreciate culture, nature, people, and uncomfortability on a completely different level. Studying abroad opened my eyes to the ignorance I have had towards the grand scope of economical, political, and social variety throughout the world! I have truly b... I gained the knowledge that there are misconceptions about going to another country to live. People must be open-minded about traveling to new places and embrace other cultures. I am now totally inspired to travel to another country and learn another new language. I have fallen in love with traveling and now have the travel bug!... I now understand what it is like to interact with others in a second language. I was challenged working in a group with non-English speakers in my university. I often found it difficult to get my personality through in Spanish because I was still learning. I am much more excited about my future now. It inspired me to apply to th... I greatly benefitted from the program and studying abroad. I met people from a different culture that helped me gain an outlook on my culture and my life. I think this experience just made me aware of so many things, like that the way we live in the USA is not the only way people live. Overall, though, what I thought was interesting was not only the differences between our cultures, but the similarities too. And how well I adapted to living abroad - it's not as hard as it sounds...
