My four months in Australia were easily some of the best of my life. I was given the opportunity to learn a new city and fall in love with the amazing place that Australia is. From the beginning, the staff made me feel safe and secure, and after four months there I can say that they did more than that. I learned what it was like... - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review
This was the best experience of my life. It changed what I wanted out of life. It was my first time truly being away from my safety net of family and friends. I had to fend for myself and I loved it. Sydney is easy to learn your way around and there are endless things to do both within and outside of the city. I also recommend t... - Ohio State University - Columbus View Entire Review
I gained lifelong friends and memories that I will never forget. I learned about learning in a different way. I learned how to budget my money (Ive never been very good at that). Ive become more outgoing and speak my mind more than I did before. - University of Massachusetts Amherst View Entire Review
This was my first time going abroad so it was really cool to be in, let alone LIVE in, another country. I liked seeing how other people lived and what their culture and customs are like. I really appreciate that I got to meet people from all over the world, not just Australia. I would say that this trip was certainly worthwhile.... - Temple University View Entire Review
It did end up setting me back a semester from graduating, but it was so much fun that I don't mind and it was very worthwhile. I'm not sure I learned a lot of new things about being abroad because I had already lived for a year in another country before I went to Australia. I gained an experience that I will cherish :). - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned about myself. I learned how to be confident in what I knew and believed in, but to also be open-minded and available to learn new things and experience different places. I have changed in small and big ways. One matures naturally through study abroad; through experiences and the because of the people we meet. We don't ... - Hartwick College View Entire Review

I learned how to be adaptable in a new environment and being open to all sorts of things. I wouldn't want to change anything about my semester in Sydney. I loved the experience of living a different lifestyle in a new culture, traveling more in the five months I was there than I have in my whole life, and making so many new friends that I can't wait to see back in the States. It's an opportunity you can't turn down! - University of Maryland - College Park View Entire Review
My experience abroad was amazing. I did not want to leave and I cannot wait to go back to Sydney. - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review
I learned how even the way people learn differs from country to country. I gained friends for a life time and a second home in Sydney. It was the best experience I've ever had in my entire life. I will be going back, It's not a matter of if, but when. - West Texas A&M University View Entire Review
The first thing you learn is to be independent. This experience helps you so much learn about yourself and doing stuff alone. You learn about so many other cultures and people even from different parts of the states. . I gained so much knowledge about other cultures and how they also see me. I learned that i can handle this. Thi... - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I became a lot more independent and confident in going out and doing things on my own. I learned and experienced a new culture and have integrated their work ethics and lifestyle into how I live today. I gained so much during my experience abroad. I learned so much about cultures (not just the Australian culture either!) along with different ways of life and views on subjects and topics. Because I went out and steered away from the program, I got involved with many local and international people who went to different schools, worked in different areas, and made my experience more enjoyable. I learned so much about the countries of both Australia and Thailand while studying through TEAN. But overall i learned so much about myself, what makes me truly happy, and the strength of my own independence. - University of Rhode Island View Entire Review
Aside from making new friends, both from the program and local people, I learned a lot about myself and about cultures I have never encountered before.
