I realized that my fascination for culture can actually manifest itself into a future career as an Anthropologist. I have such a better understanding of the world and of America. All of the Americans I met were incredible and I learned so much about the country I come from and how many amazing people live in it. - University of Maine at Orono View Entire Review

When people ask if I would do Thailand again, there isn’t a moment I hesitate to say yes. There has not been a day that goes by that I don’t yern for some pad Thai or miss the good friends that I made there from all over the world. I’ll say it, Study abroad changed my life, and my world view. - Iowa State University View Entire Review
I knew that studying abroad would change my views of the world and give me new connections, but I never imagined that I would have an experience like I did. Living in a different country made me want to travel the world even more and see as many cultures as possible because there is so much to learn from other people and countri... - Creighton University View Entire Review

I gained a lot of insight into Brasilian culture, as it is extremely diverse and rich in everything from food to dance. My experience abroad was definitely impacted by the previous friends I had here in Brasil, which allowed me to travel and learn more about the country, so my case may not be a typical one. It has definitely spa... - Towson University View Entire Review
I barely passed with a C in my Spanish 3 class, but after coming back from Spain I passed Spanish 4 with an A+ no problem. There is no better way to learn a language than to embrace yourself in it. Eventually you will begin thinking, dreaming, and speaking Spanish without even realizing. You know you have mastery over a language... - University of North Texas View Entire Review

Of course it was. Studying abroad was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I made some amazing new friends and of course I had some amazing experiences. Living overseas really increases one's awareness of other cultures, more than simply reading about it. - Delaware Valley College View Entire Review

While there were some things I was not happy about, looking back I wouldn't change a thing. After all, I wasn't there to have a vacation; I was there to have a life experience. I now think it should be required for all students to study abroad at some point during their college careers, because everyone I know who has gone abroa... - The College of New Jersey View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was most definitely worthwhile. I learned about the people, the language, and the culture. My future plans have not changed, but my love and concern for my latino brothers and sisters has deepened. - Towson University View Entire Review
