Champlain Abroad is a program provider offering 4 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad abroad programs in 2 countries such as Canada and Ireland.
Champlain College of Burlington, Vermont was founded in 1878 as the Burlington Business School to prepare young men for "the business cares and responsibilities of life." Over the years, Champlain College has expanded it's campus, curriculum, student demographic, and international presence to provide a top-tier education for students.
In 2007, Champlain created a study-abroad campus in the heart of Montréal, Quebec. The Champlain Abroad, Montréal campus opened in the Fall of 2007 providing students with full-semester courses. One year later, Champlain College created a study-abroad campus in Dublin, Ireland, the 8th top student city in the world. Champlain College hired top notch support staff and faculty to teach courses at their own renovated historic buildings in both locations. Today, Champlain Abroad Dublin and Montréal enroll roughly 40 students per term in each location and they are available to students from other U.S. colleges and universities.

"Very much so! I look at Canada in a whole new way."
Lucas M Champlain College
"I'm definitely more aware of the culture and history of Ireland than I was before studying there. I learned so much about Europe as well and enjoyed traveling to several of the countries. Before studying abroad I had always wanted to travel there and after spending 4 months living there I have realized that Ireland, or even Euro..."

"I learned a lot about myself through the program. Simply by getting to Dublin with my own money, I learned if I work hard I can go anywhere. From being in the city I learned being adventurous is an amazing quality to have. While I often find it hard to be spontaneous, being abroad taught me that stepping out of my comfort zone i..."

"It was a great cultural experience for a Communications major. It was a chance to discover a new culture with every region of the country you went too. Not to mention that it's easy access to the airport to jet off for the weekend of another country to expand your cultural emersion. "
Caitlin G Champlain College
"I fell in love with Montreal within the first week of being there (once my culture shock subsided). Now I want to live in the city I miss every day. It was an incredible experience for me and I would do it again, if I could, in a second. The only thing that I didn't love about Montreal was the difficulty of the classes and the..."
Kayleigh B Champlain College
"My experience really opened my eyes to new cultures and helped me to think more globally. I am definitely more aware of other cultures now and I now hope to someday live and work abroad."
Melinda G Champlain College
"I used to think Ireland was lame and over-rated by Americans. Now I think otherwise. That has to count for something, right?"
Matt M Champlain College
"Well my future plans now include so much traveling I was able to see through studying abroad that there re so many things in this world that I want and need to see. I came to a lot of personal understandings and really grew as a person which I am happy and proud of. Thank you Stephen Robinson, Claire Gannon, and Annie Grantham, ..."

"In addition to enjoying my classes and internship, I made some incredible new friends and truly fell in love with the city. Prior to my semester abroad, I was unsure of what city I would like to live in after graduating. Now, I am questioning whether or not that city will even be in the United States. My semester in Montreal ..."
John D Champlain College
"Like I said in my "Words of Wisdom," I had the most amazing experience there with the best faculty a girl could have. I got to experience things, like traveling to Quebec City and Ottawa, touring video game studios and networking with potential employers, that I would never have gotten to do if I just visited Montreal every week..."
