Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, The United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"Really did not learn too much of my course studies, but had such a blast. Never been out of the USA until this trip, and got to explore four more countries while there! Met amazing people that I will for sure keep in touch with and visit in the future. "
Sarah B Illinois State University
"Getting situated in a new and different culture on the complete opposite side of the world was beyond beneficial. It was definitely worthwhile as I learned how to be on my own so far away from home."

"Yes"
Beatrice E Wellesley College
"I feel like I have a much richer and varied understanding of both Wellesley and the United States. This was definitely worth it in that respect. I also got to take a lot of classes I never would have been able to at Wellesley."
A student Wellesley College
"This program was extremely worthwhile. The group of friends that I made while studying in Gold Coast made the experience. The people of Australia were welcoming and extremely helpful. "
A student Bentley University
"Being abroad is amazing even though John Cabot really needs to get their act together. I still enjoyed the Roman life and living in Trastevere. John Cabot just needs to get better professors and be more lenient on their attendance policy if they are going to cater to abroad students. "
Krista H Bentley University
"I learned more about myself than I thought. "
A student Bentley University
"It was nice to learn how the rest of the world lives. It also makes you enjoy the things you have at home. However, it also makes you want to bring certain aspects home with you. It was definitely worthwhile"

A student Bowling Green State University
"It was definitely worthwhile and I recommend an abroad experience to every college student no matter where it is. The thing I value most from my trip was gaining the confidence to meet new people and improve my social skills."
Michael S Bentley University
"It is hard to say what you have learned until you go home, which I won't be doing for 2 more weeks. I learned how to plan and travel better than I had known. I realized that the people are what make most of an experience. Studying abroad is worthwhile, but if you want to delve into the culture, it will be very very hard to do in..."

A student Illinois State University
"Stepping out of your comfort zone and not letting anything stop you from doing what you want to do! Taking time to enjoy the little things and not always feeling so rushed and busy as I am back at ISU. "
