Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, The United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"I learned a lot about living with people from different cultures, and I would have to say that my experiences of travelling and meeting new people made the stay in Menton worthwhile. I would not have wanted to stay longer than a semester. "
Rebecca R The University of Texas at Austin
"It was definitely worthwhile, I only wish it could have been longer! I loved traveling, meeting new people, living in a city, speaking another language, living with my host family, and trying new things (especially food!)!"
A student The College of William and Mary
"Although certain aspects of your study abroad may not be exactly what you expect or want, those things teach you important lessons that can develop skills which are applicable throughout life. "I learned how to get along with all kinds of people and that everyone has a story. And they will tell you that story if you take the time to listen. There's so much beauty out there that we never take the time to look at and we should. It was the best experience of my life so far and I can't wait to travel again. "
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned many things outside of the university. I learned about the French culture, I traveled to other cities in France, and I had great food. The class offered at IAU need improvement. The classes felt like a waste of time, and most of them weren't very interesting. "

A student The University of Texas at Austin
"Studying abroad at WU was the experience of a lifetime. Although I suffered a hiccup when a misunderstanding led to not being able to complete a class, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. "Australia is not necessarily so different from any other anglo-saxon culture, but Australians still has a reputation for being more laid-back and relaxed than Americans, something my hands-on experience can now verify. Adapting was easy as living is extremely easy in Australia, despite the price levels. It was definitely worth w..."

"I learned how to be an independent person and how to take care of myself. I also learned that it is important to make friends with the local people rather than just being friends with Americans only. Rachel K Middlebury College
"It was completely worthwhile. I learned a lot about patiences and accepting cultural differences. I also learned a lto about the EU.
