Direct Enrollment/Exchange

|
Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, Belgium, and International Summer Schools.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"It was above and beyond what I expected and I had extremely high expectations to begin with. I was nervous about being so far from home for that length of time but it flew by and before I knew it I was having to come home and leave the friends that I will continue to keep in touch with that I met here. "

"It was because if I didn't get to study abroad then I would have never got to Australia and New Zealand for so long. "

"It was the best semester of my life. I learned alot about myself and my friends back home. I know who I can count on and I know which friends that I have made that I will keep in touch with. I now have a thrist for travel. I am already going to San Diego this Spring Break to meet up with a friend I made in Australia."

"If you truly want an experience that brings you out of your comfort zone, then this is it 100%. You will need humility and modesty for this experience because you will make an ass of yourself alot (unless you can know Chinese and will understand what people are saying). You cant be a delicate little flower during this program...."

"It was more than worthwhile, it was amazing. I will be terribly sad to leave Taiwan, with all the great friendships I made, especially. I'll miss everything Taiwan, too--the weather, the languages, the nightmarkets, the culture....it's a great place and we met at least three people who had come for a program like ours and stuck ..."

"As cliche as it is, my abroad experience was a wonderful time that I wouldn't change for a second. I gained independence, a set of differing viewpoints, and a better worldview. It also helped me think about my future as I involved myself in activities that might enlighten my career paths and graduate school choices. "

"My study abroad experience was the best year of my life. It was a very fun year and really pushed me in lots of ways. I think expanding from what you are familiar with, really pushes you as an individual. I would suggest everyone to study abroad if they have the opportunity and Buenos Aires is such a great and fun city! It's big..."

"Definitely worthwhile. With this program you can fall into speaking English with classmates, but you also have numerous opportunities to interact with locals (through programs offered by the Institute) and your host family. Avignon is also a city with numerous french/international students, so it is an environment where meeting ..."

"I originally was hesitant about going abroad. I did not know if I would be able to due to the rigor of my major, and on top of that didn't know if I really wanted to be on the other side of the world for 5 months. I was never good with foreign language, and enjoyed traveling, but had never been out of the country for more than..."
