"I learned so much about what it was like to live in Denmark and in Europe in general, and the differences between Europe and the United States. It was an unforgettable semester and I will never regret my experience!"
A student Wellesley College
"This was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. I learned how to allow myself time to appreciate life, how to live in the moment, how to learn with stress, how to talk to strangers, and how to make a home in a foreign city. I learned how to slow down and appreciate simpler things in life. I learned to take life ..."

"I have never been to Europe, so the emphasis on travel helped me gain an appreciation for international culture. I learned HOW to travel from country to country, how to blend in just enough to not be targeted, how to navigate big cities, and how to say just enough words in each language to be able to communicate with locals. It ..."

"It's hard to sum up in a tiny box what I learned from my experience abroad because I honestly learned more than words could say. Living with a Danish host family was the highlight of my experience. They taught me so much about not only their culture, but also about my own culture and background. My host family welcomed me with o..."

"Studying abroad in Copenhagen was amazing. Copenhagen really is the best city--everyone who goes loves it. I would not change a thing. You gain whole new cultural lens. Living in a socialist state gives you a new outlook on the world. It's all invaluable; I loved it."

"I learned more about what I want from my life. I grew in independence and in world experience. Most people are inherently good, nothing teaches that like having to ask a million people for directions."
A student Brandeis University
"I learned to be less shy and more outgoing. I learned that while it is very important to do well in school, it is also important to create hobbies and make friends with people who share the same interests. I learned to travel and be financially responsible for myself. "

"The short version is that, yes, it was definitely worthwhile! I loved my weekly practicum at a local school in classrooms of 6th and 9th graders. Since that particular school was one in an area heavily populated by non-ethnically Danish people (i.e. families with origins in such places as Turkey and Pakistan), I had a really..."

"From an environmental studies major, I learned an incredible amount living in one of the greenest cities in the world for just a semester. Not only in classes, but even in daily life. It was very worthwhile to live like a Dane because they really know what they are doing to protect the environment in Denmark! "
