"Being in a Spanish-speaking country with Spanish immersion classes, I definitely became more fluent in Spanish. However, living abroad also gave me a broader worldview, and also proved to myself that I am strong and brave enough to go live in a new country. "

"A better understanding on how the Irish culture operates."
Jack O`Malley College of DuPage
"My listening skills in Spanish definitely improved, and for that I am so thankful. I also gained a larger appreciation for people from different walks of life than my own. It is so interesting to meet somebody close to your age from the other side of the world and to see how similar, yet different, your lives are. "
Matt Coffman Indiana University - Bloomington
"I feel I gained a deeper understanding of the people and culture that exists in Japan. There only so much you get from classes at Universities in your home country and nothing is quite like the real thing. Also, some the teachers at Nanzan were amazing. For me it was the Japanese Politics teacher who I would have hour long talks..."
Thomas Santos University of Florida
"I lived in Rathmines, Dublin and absolutely loved it. It was a close walk to the city center and it had the Irish charm I was looking for. The classes were amazing and I truly learned not only about Irish history, but also about Irish Culture as a whole. The professors were incredible and all had a genuine interest in their stud..."

"Learning about the art and histories of Paris, Rome, and Madrid were simply some of the most amazing educational experiences I could have asked for, and immersing myself into the cultures of these bustling cities was also incredibly important for my own world views and self growth. There's no need for textbooks and glossy printe..."

Ellen Adams University of Virginia
"In addition to learning a lot about Berlin, Germany, and their population, I learned a lot about myself and what kind of person I want to be in the world. Interacting with all of these new people, places, and things really made me realize how much of the world is still out there for me to explore and learn about! There's so much..."
