IFSA is a program provider offering 71 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, and Online Program abroad programs in 14 countries such as Argentina, Australia, Chile, and Costa Rica.
IFSA programs have the highest academic standards. Most of our programs allow students to enroll directly in a university abroad which creates a truly integrated cultural experience. IFSA's internship options allow you to gain practical work experience, strengthen your resume and get an insiders look at your host country.
IFSA's affiliated universities abroad are at the top of their countries rankings. All of our programs include events and excursions exclusively for our students throughout the semester. IFSA has program offices and full time staff in each country where we have programs. Our staff provide everything from detailed on-site orientations to academic guidance to emergency assistance. Our program fees guarantee housing. Once you finish your study abroad program, Butler University will process your official transcript with grade and credit translations at no additional cost. IFSA was founded in 1988. We have more than three decades of experience, longevity and reliability!
Study Abroad with IFSA
"It was definitely worthwhile. You learn a lot about independence and taking care of yourself both physical and mentally. Because IFSA does not have any "host families", you are essentially a "regular" full time student. Students can design their study abroad experience however they want. "

"Since I did a bit of traveling, I gained a lifetime of memories with new friends. I tried new foods, was exposed to a variety of languages and cultures and learned how to be independent and self-sufficient. I wouldn't give this experience back for anything. I only wish I got to stay longer. "

"I learned a lot about making friends, which sounds super cheesy. I had to make an entirely new set of friends, and it was scary at first, but I think I am so much better at talking to people now than I was before! I even feel that I am much more comfortable talking in front of a crowd as well, like I am more confident than I was..."

"I learned that though the world is so much bigger than I thought it was, so many people from all over share the same values as me. Who would have thought that given the space and time I could be friends with people from Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, Germany, Canada, Turkey, and more. I will forever be grateful ..."

"I greatly improved my Spanish and learned about the Mexican/Yucatecan culture. I also had a lot of time to look back at how I was living my life and make decisions on if I was going in the direction that I truly wanted, as opposed to what I thought I wanted based on what society convinced me I wanted.
