"Absolutely. You are constantly learning about yourself and your surroundings. In addition, it is more than a vacation. Most days good ones but you live there long enough to where your emotions may go through some hardship. THIS IS OKAY. These moments help you realize what it is you need to do to help yourself. "
Edgar Payano Sewanee: The University of the South
"Aside from gaining an understanding of how people live around the world, what conditions they live in, and how they are still happy regardless, I gained two main things. One, the flame inside of me was re-ignited and I was reminded of the things that once made me feel driven and passionate, and my confidence was restored. Two, I..."

"I apologize for the cliche, but you will truly broaden your view of the world and of foreign cultures on this program. Yes, it is a science program, and I feel like I now intimately understand the ecology and ecosystems and the complex conservation issues that Ecuador faces--and the workload of the courses will make sure that yo..."

"I better understood what I do and do not want for my future. The exposure to many different topics helped show me what I enjoy doing. "
Katie W Sewanee: The University of the South
"All in all, it was worthwhile. It was one of the best experiences an aspiring doctor could have. You are forced to meet strangers and discuss intimate details of their life (in another language nonetheless), just like a doctor does when she/he opens the door of an exam room. You become aware of your vulnerability fluctuating, bu..."

"Intercultural exchange, definitely worthwhile!"

"I actually believe that I became more confident in my beliefs as a result of this program. It also challenged many of my perceptions about what certain things like development, growth, forgiveness, reconciliation, love etc. looked like. Certain aspects were really hard to cope with but it was worthwhile. I recommend. "
A student Wellesley College
"See above. Yes."
A student Brandeis University
"You're doing the best you can in the moment. At times, I felt like I wasn't taking advantage of the trip the way I imagined. Once my best friend told me that, my experience greatly improved. Overall, I had a good experience."
A student Brandeis University

"How interact critically with the world. "

"Chile offers something for everyone since it is an extraordinarily diverse country. One can find fast-paced city life in the capital of Santiago, or a more laid-back experience in Valparaiso. We also had the opportunity to travel to rural communities in both the North and South of the country, which offered another special persp..."
