"Much deeper understanding of the interactions between Africa and the US/europe on many levels (mainly environmental). Very worthwhile. "
A student Middlebury College
"I could write a book about that. It was absolutely worthwhile. Not everything was perfect, but I learned more about myself and the world in a semester there than I usually learn in a year. As everyone knows, study abroad is about experiential learning, and SIT did a fantastic job with the difficult task of integrating academics ..."
A student Brandeis University
"I gained a group of amazing friends, and met some great people throughout the world. It was more than worthwhile, I wish I could do it all over again almost everyday . "
Symone W Barnard College
"I learned to deal with being the center of attention, and to deal with embarrassment, failing at silly little things. I also became so much more comfortable with talking to other people about myself. I found that my interest lies more with human lives than with the environment. I also saw how difficult and complex the problems f..."

A student Middlebury College

A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I went through a wide range of emotions when I was abroad, at some points even wondering why I was doing it, because I missed home so much. Finally, towards the end, it became clear why I did it. Of course I learned about French culture during my stay there, but I also learned a lot about my American culture while I was there. M..."
Laura N Austin College
"I gained so much confidence from my semester, and I learned that I was capable of more than I thought I was. I've also come back home with a stronger sense of what I want to do with my life, and my ISP made me incredibly excited for life after college. I definitely think my semester abroad was worthwhile, even if it was a diffic..."
