Saint Louis University was founded in 1818 on the Jesuit tradition of “educating the whole person.” Today the university is considered one of the top 100 research institutions in the United States. Its Madrid Campus opened in 1967 and has been awarding university degrees since 2005. The Madrid Campus offers financial aid to more than half of its students. U.S. citizens or permanent residents are also eligible to apply for federal financial aid through FAFSA.
Study Abroad with St. Louis University
The Robert Tieken and Cristina Acosta Scholarship Fund was established by the family of Robert Tieken in memory of Rob, a former faculty member on the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus, and his wife Cristina. Through this fund, the Madrid Campus provides tuition scholarship to a select number of U.S. students from U.S. universities who have been accepted for study on the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus as “visiting” (i.e. study-abroad) students.
$500 for fall, $300 for spring
The Amy King Fund was established by the family of Amy King in memory of Amy, a former student on the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus. Through this fund, the Madrid Campus provides tuition scholarship to a select number of non-U.S. students enrolled in non-U.S. universities who have been accepted for study on the Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus as “visiting” (i.e. study-abroad) students.
