The Swedish Program at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is a highly regarded study abroad program, offering a full range of liberal arts courses in English. Founded in 1987, we are a small program (enrolling between 40- 50 students each semester) within a prestigious international university. We are committed to providing our students with both a challenging academic and rewarding cultural experience. Classes are small, collaborative, and based in student participation. What students learn in the classroom is relevant to their everyday cultural experiences. Students have opportunities to meet and interact with Swedes at SSE through our housing options and through the Contact Family. The challenge of studying abroad is to learn about the institutions and people of a different culture as you gain a better understanding of yourself and your own country. The distinctive features of the Program – our curricular breadth, high academic standards, commitment to cultural integration, university setting, and small size – effectively promote this multifaceted learning experience.
