"I learned how to speak another language, how to take care of myself, how to budget my money, and how to travel by myself/with a small group of people."
Jillian Shaffer Cedar Crest College
"Overall, the experience allowed me to experience a culture far different from mine, meet lots of new people, practice language skills, learn how to live on my own, and I felt I gained a great swell of confidence from traveling to the other side of the world by myself."
A student Cedar Crest College
"There's so much to learn about yourself as well as the world when studying abroad. You learn how to challenge yourself in many ways and grow as a person. Living in another country allows you to learn about another culture and traveling broadens your worldview. Studying abroad is absolutely worth it!"

"I learned first and foremost how to speak Polish and used it often, something that would be very difficult to do in the US. Second, I learned a lot more about myself. It was absolutely worth it to travel abroad for the semester. "
A student Cedar Crest College
"I learned too much to summarize here. So, yes, worthwhile."

"The fact that I from a country where teenagers and children do not really cherish information and want to learn does not mean that people in other countries do the same. I was extremely suprised and happy that they cared about what my CARE LLC group had to talk about."
Denise C Cedar Crest College
"I learned the most from my experience abroad, that a little bit can do alot. I was part of a service project that helped teen girls learn about sexual health education, and also helped provide resources to teen moms. It was an enlightening experience, and definitely helped define what I plan on doing in the future."
Natalia M Cedar Crest College
