"It was definitely worthwhile. It took me out of my comfort zone but I met some really great people and I learned how to live on my own and budget my money. I don't regret it one bit."

"In terms of being a geology major, this program is fantastic. Field camp was very full of learning and stressful at times, but worth it. The semester studies were decent, especially the semester long independent project."

"Saw three countries in three months (as well as time spent in California at the start of the program) and learned so much about how the world works. The countries we visited each had their own unique perks and we saw and learned a lot. Not the easiest program in the world just in terms of physical, mental and emotional strain,..."

"Living in Norwich did not feel like the radical departure I expected study abroad to be, and it did not feel adventurous, but once I accepted this fact I came to really love the coziness of the city. UEA may be made of duly concrete buildings, but I liked the hub of campus and the surrounding broad is gorgeous which more than ma..."

"I loved living in London--it's a great city and there's so much to do. I also enjoyed seeing a different education system, though I prefer the liberal arts model. It was also nice to have and opportunity to try new things."

"I learned an immense amount about Turkey and about the region - I can't wait to go back. It was incredibly rewarding to venture to a study abroad location that I had previously studied in classes at my home university. My Turkish skills improved throughout the semester and I was able to take classes that were challenging and int..."

A student Middlebury College
"Absolutely worthwhile; I learned so much about myself, the places I was, and the subject matter of the program - however, this was largely due to my own personal drive/choices and the amazing students I was surrounded by rather than program-specific classroom time."

"How to be a more critical reader, how to be a better academic writer, how to budget my limited time with nearly unlimited schoolwork and athletics. It was absolutely worthwhile."

"Learned a ton about English culture, but even more about American culture - I was their only American by the end of the year so I was the authority on all things American. I wasn't born in America so in the states I never considered myself to be that American, but this year I realized just how American I am. I also learned so mu..."

"It's better to treat it like you've just moved there than to treat it like a vacation. I believe I got more out of the experience because I tried to create more meaningful relationships with the people. "

"I learned so much about the Czech culture plus the intangibles about going abroad. These are the most valuable part as you learn things about yourself that you had not known before!!!"
Alex P Middlebury College
"I learned so much from the people I met throughout this semester. Every minute was worthwhile. I learned a lot from each of my classes about urban studies, local and global politics, planning trends, etc., but even more so about how the decisions that are made in high-level offices can and do impact the lived experiences of peop..."
