"I learned a lot about myself, traveling, other cultures, and pushing myself outside my comfort zone. I think the best thing I learned was how to be comfortable by myself"
A student Middlebury College
"Absolutely worthwhile, I would literally do anything to go back...learn a lot about yourself and how to live on your own while also appreciating the beauty of numerous different countries and how people live outside of the United States. "
A student Middlebury College
"I learn't all sort of things. How to move by myself in a different country, I learnt about different cultures, how to do most things by myself, etc. I loved studying abroad for the people I met and for such a fun and beautiful country but I must say that I did not like much the classes at the university. I wish they would have l..."

"Studying abroad in Copenhagen was amazing. Copenhagen really is the best city--everyone who goes loves it. I would not change a thing. You gain whole new cultural lens. Living in a socialist state gives you a new outlook on the world. It's all invaluable; I loved it."

"Improved my Korean, got firsthand experience of Korean life, and ate great food. "
Ian R Middlebury College
"It was mostly worthwhile for the incredible experiences I had, and the people I met. Sydney is an amazing place, it would be hard to be bored there. The classes at USYD were, of course, comparatively dull, but not bad nonetheless (some great professors)."
A student Middlebury College
"I gained a more realistic view of the United Kingdom and an opportunity to explore the rest of Europe. More importantly, I experienced physics classes taught at a significantly larger university than my home institution. The experience was definitely worthwhile in terms of my enjoyment and in my exposure to different academic en..."

"Scotland is full of warm people, and the international atmosphere of Edinburgh makes for vibrant culture. I learned the need to self-motivate integration into the social scene, and (relatedly) to spend time with myself in a busy city setting. It was very, very worthwhile!"
A student Middlebury College
"I gained a wealth of new experiences and new friends. It was the best decision I have made."
Noah G Middlebury College
"I gained a greater confidence in my research and writing abilities and learned a new way to approach texts through context and critical analysis without letting these stand in the way of personal discovery. While I felt disconnected from the university, especially socially, at times, the program was worthwhile academically, and,..."

"I learned that I could really hack it out on my own. Even though, as an American college student, you have a lot of independence, being abroad and completely alone is a whole new ball game. I wasn't quite sure that I could do it but after spending an entire semester there, shopping for my own groceries, cooking my own meals, pla..."

"I loved it. I learned a lot about how to do things on your own. I was very independent, I was one of the only students from Middlebury(and only girl) that went to UNSW, so i was forced to really branch out and take risks both socially and academically. "
