Trinity University
University Information
The Study Abroad program at Trinity University is designed to be accessible and flexible. With proper planning, students from every major can study abroad productively in many different countries around the world as a part of their degree.
This is possible because Trinity's program is based on individually advising each student so that the term abroad becomes an integral part of the degree that meets academic, personal, and professional goals. As a result Trinity students participate in a wide variety of academic experiences abroad from studying in a foreign university classroom to academic internships to intensive language study to field studies - or a some combination of these things.

"I believe that results may vary for this first question, but I definitely believe it was worthwhile! I gained quite a bit of insight into the culture of Australia (for example, why they don't like being asked if they're British). I gained perspective of how fortunate we are in the US: even though Australia is a strongly devel..."

"Living in Perugia, I gained a lot of appreciation for the Italian culture. I learned a lot about myself and how I interact with novel experiences. It was definitely challenging learning how to live in a culture that you are very unfamiliar with. But ultimately, living in a new culture made me look at my own culture in a very dif..."

"I learned a lot about myself and my personality. My classes were interesting and thought provoking and often very relevant to my situations. "

"Haha there is no way I could fit all I learned when I was abroad in this box. It was quite worthwhile. I proved to myself that I can maintain and improve upon the qualities of myself that I like most while uncovering new ones at the same time. I have gained confidence in new (and sometimes bizarre) situations. I have also acquir..."

A student Trinity University
"I learned that I miss more than I gain by living life like a rat race. The Italians know how to enjoy life in a way that Americans never learn. I really hope that I can bring some semblance of that peace to my life in the States."

"I absolutely think studying abroad was worthwhile. Not only did I make friends that I will have for the rest of my life, but I learned a lot about who I am, my travel style, my comfort zone, etc. I learned that to gain the most of an experience abroad, you really need to use the resources available to you. The people working at ..."

"I expected to learn mostly about a foreign culture. While this was true, I learned even more about myself. Immersion in a completely alien environment really lets you see your true colors."

A student Trinity University
"I learned a lot about the kind of person I was being on my own. The more of the world I saw, the more I realized how much I still had to see. While I wouldn't do the program again, it's really hard to have a bad experience abroad."
Emily H Trinity University
"What I gained from this experience will be influencing me for the rest of my life. I became so much more independent and confident in myself. I learned so much about the culture and history of Ireland. I met so many people and learned about lifestyles I've never been exposed to before. I learned about what I valued and loved..."
Kailey D Trinity University
"Since I was on the internship program I did not have the typical "party every day" experience that a lot of people have. Partially, because no student living in London can afford to have that kind of life, but also because work and classes kept me busy and wore me out during the week. It was amazing to live in a big city, even t..."

"I learned basic life skills for living on my own--budgeting, cooking, cleaning... I have never really had to do any of this independent of my family or school. It was an eye opening experience. "
