"My study abroad experience was incredibly worthwhile. I learned a lot and experienced a lot while abroad. Even if the classes are challenging, I had plenty of time to do other things like travel. Studying abroad has helped me adapt more quickly to unfamiliar surroundings and I would gladly return again."

"It was definitely a worthwhile experience. The program gives you the opportunity to really explore Hong Kong and parts of China. HKU itself was not that impressive, but the location was amazing. Being in Hong Kong also gave me a new perspective on what it means to be Asian and American in an Asian country. It takes some getting ..."

"Definitely worthwhile - I couldn't have done anything better during my junior year. I've made friends from all over the world who have already come to visit me in the U.S. Oxford encouraged me to pursue a senior thesis and taught me that I can handle independent, self-taught learning."
Brianna B Tufts University
"Tufts in London was an extremely worthwhile experience on a personal level and has allowed me to develop lasting friendships."
Vlad G Tufts University
"I got to understand who I am and what kind of people I can be in small groups with. I also traveled on my own a few times, and learned that I can withstand almost anything. "
Rebecca F Tufts University
"I loved every aspect of the Oxford program; truly the best year of my undergraduate career. I met some of the best people there- which surprised me, I thought people would be more pretentious. It was truly incredible, and if I could do it again, I absolutely would. I cannot speak more highly of this program."

"Yes it was--i learned a lot about Italy and I made sure to use the language as much as possible. I really learned a lot from my weekend trips around Europe as well."
Kelley F Tufts University
"My everything was completely altered by this program. UCL taught me how to read, write, and experience academia in an entirely different way than I did before. This experience taught me how to navigate a city, how to cook like a real person and not just a student, and how to act in clubs and pubs and at high tea. I learned th..."

"Studying abroad gave me the tools I needed to become a confident, independent, and culturally-sensitive traveler, which has served me very well in the years since. It challenged me to adapt to a new education system and to step outside of my comfort zone in terms of classes, extracurricular activities, and relationships with stu..."

"I am currently teaching English in southern Spain for a year through a government program. I would never have considered this program without my study abroad program. They also assisted me in finding and applying for this program, three years after I first left Spain!"
Anna D Tufts University
"Absolutely. I definitely came out of my America-centric bubble and got to look at my home country from the perspective across the frog pond. I wouldn't take any of my experience back - it was all well worth it."
Casey K Tufts University
"I now feel very American, even somewhat patriotic. I have attained a new respect for the following tenets of American culture, which did not exist in Alcalá: The customer is always right, you can drink as much coffee as you want (whenever you want), food-to-go, doing homework in a restaurant/café atmosphere, the ubiquity of inte..."

"I got to understand and view the world from a different perspective. I think as Americans we are in general very fortunate and while I was abroad, I got to look at the differences in values that are important to Americans versus Spaniards. I learned a lot about myself, I went with certain goals in mind which I ended up fulfill..."

"Absolutely. This is all very cliche, but I got so much more self sufficient living on my own in a completely different place, and so much more self confident. And I got to travel so much and have so many amazing once in a life time experiences"
Katie R Tufts University
"I had possibly the best year of my life. I made some life-long friends, got to understand a new culture, and was exposed to so many different people from all over the world. Also, living on your own in a big city forces you to be more independent and mature much faster. It was so difficult to force myself on a plane to come back..."
Doris L Tufts University
"Learned about life outside the US and just how big the world is. Became more self-sufficient and confident."
Aaron C Tufts University
"Yes. I cannot tell you what I learned. It is something abstract, but it was the catalyst for everything I accomplished my senior year and there after."
Anamaria V Tufts University
"If nothing else, I learned to be open minded. But mostly I just enjoyed myself, so it was definitely worth my time. "
Marcell B Tufts University
"It was so worthwhile I decided while I was there to study abroad again the next semester."
Amy G Tufts University
"Very worthwhile. An amazing experience being there in the buildup to the world cup and into the beginning of the games. I had so much fun and saw a completely different part of the world. I wouldn't trade anything for it."
