"I learned a lot about myself and the environments that I enjoy living and working in -- I thought Oxford's architecture was beautiful, but I did find myself missing the green space at my home institution and where I grew up. I also learned that I like being in a classroom environment/academic setting that involves interacting wi..."

"I loved the ability to thoroughly study a subject unavailable at my home institution (geography) through personalized, 1:1 tutorials with some of the leading academics doing work related to my interests. "I've become a lot more independent and responsible, but more than that I've also learned how to be care-free and to not take myself or life too seriously. The world is so, so big and has so much more to offer than the place you're currently in. My experience abroad was 100% worthwhile and I don't think I can stop traveling now t..."

"I learned that while I appreciate rigor and learned a lot through my tutorials, I also really value interdisciplinary learning, group discussions with other students, and hands-on learning outside of the classroom. I'm glad to have experienced the tutorial system, but my main lesson from my experience abroad is that it's not the..."

"Because of its size, I had a lot of freedom to do what I wanted. No one was checking in on me. No one was making sure I ate, nor telling me I couldn't go to a different country on a Tuesday. If you take advantage of that, you can learn a lot about yourself and put yourself in new positions. It was definitely worthwhile. "
Mara S Wellesley College
"I do feel I understand myself better. I feel way more comfortable traveling alone. Educationally not super helpful. "

"I really pushed past my comfort zone with this experience abroad. Before this experience, I was not a very spontaneous person, but during my time at HK, I constantly added things to my bucket list and tried to learn and explore as much as possible, from visiting monasteries to hiking mountains. Even when I got busier with school..."

"The most meaningful part of my exchange was the opportunity to live in Asia for a significant period of time. I have long considered moving to Asia, and this experience certainly helped me understand what that would look and feel like. I have heard many people say that Singapore is too small to be interesting for long, but I t..."

"It was very worthwhile. My French skills improved a lot and more importantly my confidence in using them improved. I feel hopeful that I will be able to keep these skills and continue to travel or even live abroad in the future. I spent more time alone and figuring out what I like to do, while at the same time I formed wonderful..."
