"I loved getting to learn about a different culture firsthand. Being able to live in London alone made the program worthwhile. It is such an amazing city, and I loved getting to know it. "
Elizabeth F Wellesley College
"I significantly improved my speaking and listening skills in Chinese. This is a worthy progress because learning Chinese was one of my main objectives in this study abroad. I also learned many aspects of Chinese cultures and societies through my interactions with my roommates and friends. I realized many distinction between US a..."

"It was so worth it! It is really hard to put exactly into words what I gained. IHP has a philosophy of 360 degree learning- meaning that every moment and experience contributes to your new knowledge of a place. This idea- of understanding how to learn from everything around you, and to think critically about your surroundings, i..."
Meghan F Wellesley College
"Yes, it was worthwhile. I learned a lot about different ways of living. I learned a lot about myself, and how to be more resourceful and patient. I also am much better at adapting and dealing with uncertain situations."
Megan B Wellesley College
"Yes, it was nice to get to know a new city so well. I now know that American professors point out connections for students whereas British professors expect the student to come up with those connections and use them to learn more."
Josephine H Wellesley College
"I learned more about myself on this adventure than anything. Completely alone in a new place, I learned more and more about my own ablities and the country from which my ancestors came. I also learned how to cook, which was fantastic. I also picked up a global view and was able to see American from the outside for the first t..."
Rhiannon M Wellesley College
"Absolutely. Everything is worthwhile. One should learn from everything, and I certainly learned from this."
Katherine F Wellesley College
"When I first arrived three months ago, I had little confidence in my ability to thrive in a new environment that required a large amount of independence, maturity and willingness to take risks. Moving to Copenhagen for four months threw me far out of my zone of comfort and familiarity. Beginning when I stepped on the plane in..."
Linnea J Wellesley College
"Better spoken and written Spanish. Easier travel around Europe. Unlike in the US, I never stressed out about schoolwork, so I learned to balance work and play. "
Kemi Wellesley College

"I plan on working in Tokyo when I graduate so I would say this is a good indicator of my experience there. Leah H Wellesley College
"I learned more than I can summarize in all the conversations I've had since, let alone a single paragraph in an evaluation. It's made all the difference in my career trajectory; how people view my expertise in my area of focus (Middle Eastern Studies); and my perspective on me, my life, and the current events of the Middle East."
Chayva L Wellesley College
