"I learned to navigate one of the largest cities in the world! TFL is very comprehensive but still, i'm proud. This year taught me a lot about independence and adulthood and i'm grateful for that."

"I achieved my goals of being on this program: taking design classes that are not offered at my home institution and living in a Scandinavian country and exploring other European cities. In that aspect, I'd say the four months were successful. However, if I could choose again, I'd choose a full immersion program rather than DIS, ..."

"I learned so much about Spanish culture, the language, and how to live in a foreign place. I made incredible friends and had an incredible host stay. It was amazing to look back to the beginning of the semester when it was hard for me to express simple thoughts or ask questions in Spanish and by the end of the semester, I was ex..."

"I've seen so much China and learned so much about its culture. It was the right balance between chill and "yes you're still in school". Honestly the experience is what you make of it."
Rosanne H Wellesley College
"Making personal connections here was the most valuable part of my experience. The program was more academic in nature, but being able to make friends was the best part of it. I also gained so many insights into living in a particular part of India, about how India is seen in the eyes of young people my age, about real hard-hitti..."

"I gained independence, new friends, and more awareness of how to travel"
A student Wellesley College
"I wanted my study abroad experience to be a time of exploration and self-reflection, with less focus on academics than I have at home. I only had three classes (unless you're in the sciences, you'll likely have 3 classes max), and was pleasantly surprised when one of them ended up being my favorite class of all time. The other t..."

A student Wellesley College
"My language skills improved quite a bit, and I learned so much while living in a country so contrary to the US, and different in mind and spirit from the West and the particular way of living and thinking that I have been used to. It was absolutely worthwhile to finally gain some first-hand insight on the way in which the world ..."

"I got to live in one of my favorite countries and really experience British life. I saw the greater part of Southern England and went on trips that were academically-interesting, culturally-enriching, entertaining, and even sometimes athletically-challenging (in a good way). I tried many new things, including traveling alone, ta..."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned biology in an entirely new context. Concepts I had learned or brushed on in the classroom during my previous semesters could be applied to living/field contexts in South Africa. The ability to apply what was learned in lectures and literature in my own research and daily observations was extraordinary. "

"I became much more independent, more flexible, more street smart, more mature, and more culturally knowledgeable.
