"I had an amazing time in Ireland. I learned so much about responsibility, independence, and myself. My time abroad also gave me a new appreciation for my family, Wellesley, and the opportunities that I have had in life."

"My trip was definitely worthwhile; I became much more self-reliant especially organizing my own travel and expenses. I gained what I'm sure will be life-long friendships and memories."

A student Wellesley College
"Deep understanding in the region. It was incredibly valuable since it is a largely ignored region of the world. "

"I learned about living on my own--especially cooking. I learned that there is so much more out there than what I see in America and there are so many different people and experience left for me to meet. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned what it meant to fail and that I had the ability, will power, and skills to overcome it. I learned that friends can make all the difference but there will always be different types of friends that you'll make and that's okay too."
A student Wellesley College
"It absolutely was worthwhile. Can't really explain, it is something that needs to be experienced. I gave the overall program ten stars because overall, UCL's location and people and reputation made for a really fantastic experience, even though I did not enjoy the frustrating administration or some of my classes. "

"YES!!! This was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I am so grateful to have had this amazing opportunity."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to adapt quickly to living and learning in a city that was so different from where I'd grown up. I absolutely fell in love with the people, the city and the work that I did there, and I would go back in a heartbeat! The academic environment was full of wonderful discussions, the friends I made were warm and inviti..."

"The program was stressful at times and my language skills did not progress as much as I had hoped but in the end, I did enjoy my time in Kyoto and made many great friendships. "

"I learned from Hungarian professors, who teach in a very different way than American professors do. Hungarian education, in general, is very different from American education, so it was a very interesting and educational experience. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was so incredibly worthwhile. I learned a lot of advanced organic chemistry and organometallic synthesis and gained a lot from research experience. I met people from all over the world and saw a lot of Europe, taking advantage of my convenient location. Music, art, ultimate frisbee, clubs, beer, good food, good people, lan..."

A student Wellesley College
"I think the most important things I gained from studying abroad were that I got to see the places I had learned about and I now feel confident going abroad, even by myself. "
A student Wellesley College
"This semester helped me to re-access the importance of a balanced life."
A student Wellesley College
"I got the opportunity to have a fun and what I am describing as a pseudo-independent experience. I say that because while I did live with a host family and had professors and staff who were invested in my well-being, comfort, and happiness, I also had the opportunity to explore an entirely new country mostly alone. I was able to..."

"If you want the kitchen clean, you have to do it yourself, and that's okay. Living with boys is *incredibly* annoying, and I do not miss them one bit now that I'm back at Wellesley. Edinburgh public libraries only let you check out 12 books at a time, and that's unfortunate, but there's 27 of them to explore, which makes up for ..."

"I learned that I want to return to study in Sweden after I graduate from college."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned that I should be grateful for the opportunities I have had education-wise, because clearly many other American students are not nearly as well-informed as me. I know this sounds elitist of me, but when someone, for example, asks if Margaret Thatcher was an actress (and believe me, comments like that were very common in..."
