  • Dublin Direct Enrollment - National Theatre School of Ireland (Gaiety School of Acting): The National Theatre School of Ireland-Gaiety School of Acting specializes in conservatory acting. This program appeals primarily to those students who are ready for the challenge of adapting to an entirely new academic culture that requires significant independent work.


  • Dublin Summer - Intensive Acting: The IES Abroad Intensive Acting Program gives you an intensive, practical approach to performance. Over the course of the summer, you will come to know Dublin's winding streets and unique charm through a variety of culturally enriching opportunities. The program offers enrollment at the acclaimed National Theatre School of Ireland-Gaiety School of Acting, housing in fully-equipped student apartments, and field trips throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.


  • Dublin Summer - Internship: Experience this city’s vibrant business environment that has emerged as part of Ireland’s economic recovery. Walk to work through Dublin’s historic streets or take a double-decker bus, the tram, Dart, or Metro. Linger over a lunch of shepherd’s pie or Irish salmon. An IES internship develops your professional skills, gives you the ability to communicate across cultures, and provides substantive work experience to jump-start your career in today’s competitive job market.


  • Dublin Summer - Irish Studies: This program is designed for students who seek intensive academic exposure to Ireland's political and social history, contemporary economic issues, and literary heritage. By combining coursework with study outside the classroom, you have the opportunity to discover the rich heritage of Ireland, as well as its contemporary culture through its art, theater, and film. Over the course of the summer, you will come to know Dublin's winding streets and unique charm. The Dublin Irish Studies Summer program offers enrollment in IES Abroad courses, housing in fully-equipped student apartments, and field trips. Starting at the IES Abroad Center, near St. Stephen’s Green, this program will help you to gain a meaningful cultural experience and a deeper knowledge of what it means to be a citizen of the world.


  • Dublin - Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology: There’s a reason why Dublin is now serving as the European headquarters for companies such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter. For the past decade, Ireland’s pro-business environment has been an incubator for start-ups, particularly in technology, and its reputation as a principal technology hub of Europe is well-established. Our Entrepreneurship & Technology Program has been designed to provide you with leadership, entrepreneurial, and digital skills in an immersive environment so you can capitalize on the business-friendly energy of this city.


  • Dublin - Irish Studies: Rich in culture and pride, modern Dublin is a vibrant city with more than half of its population under the age of 25. This colorful, cosmopolitan city is home to a world-class art scene and is known for its literature and famous writers, such as George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, and Samuel Beckett. In this program, you learn about Irish culture through courses in the humanities and social sciences that focus on themes of tradition, change, and identity in modern Ireland. Writing and literature courses tap into the rich artistic history of Ireland, and you may also choose to participate in an internship or service learning placement to complement your classroom learning.


  • Dublin Witer's Program: The celebrated lines of W.B. Yeats, the creation of James Joyce’s “universal city” in Ulysses, the stage of the Abbey Theatre, the blogs of The Irish Times—writers in Ireland have used words and images to inspire, inform, persuade, and entertain their readers for centuries. As they moved into the digital age, writers reached larger and more diverse audiences through platforms that did not exist even a decade ago. Through the study of contemporary Irish authors, as well as those of the past, our Writer’s Program is designed to inspire and challenge writers to elevate their skills to the next level. Whether you approach writing as a future vocation or as a creative outlet, our courses help you discover and explore your voice and hone your craft. From short story writing and the graphic novel to digital communication and writing for the screen, our courses cover a wide variety of styles and genres. Choose from a range of writing-related courses, Irish studies courses, or an internship or service learning placement to create your 15-credit program.
