What made this experience worthwhile was the people I got to know. Even though my program was cut short I still made some life-long friends during my two months in NZ. Pete - University of Arizona View Entire Review
1000% worthwhile. I learned so much more about how to be independent and organized. I've lived alone at my university before but traveling half way across the world alone is definitely a testing experience. I gained a lot of new friends, experiences, and memories that I will never forget. A student - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I gained further knowledge about myself that I would've never found had I never gone abroad to New Zealand. I found out more about my identity, what makes me happy, and what kind of life I hope to have. I also learned the value of global knowledge and understanding, and my world-views shifted in response to my experience abroad ... I definitely have grown a lot. I've learned to go about studying differently, especially when with other individuals. I have gradually learned to be more ok with being myself and being alone with myself. It all takes time. I am grateful for the people I met, regardless of if I am in contact or not. Everyone holds an impact, you ... A student - University of Hartford View Entire Review

I cannot even begin to describe my study abroad experience. I gained so many great friends from around the world that I still keep in touch with and plan to visit sometime in the future. I learned how to be self sufficient and to travel alone. Sure I made friends but I also was able to travel and explore on my own. I also realized my passion for experiencing new cultures and appreciating them for what they are. I love New Zealand so much and it was 100% worthwhile. A student - Emmanuel College (Massachusetts) View Entire Review
I got the compromise of living in a city I have always wanted to visit while still getting needed college credits and real-world experience. Janelle Vickers - West Virginia University View Entire Review
It may sound cliché, but studying abroad truly did change my life. When I decided to embark on a journey this big, I was essentially choosing to be dropped in the middle of a totally new world. I actually felt more culture shock when I returned to the States after my time in New Zealand. I allowed myself to become immersed in a ... Ayla G - Endicott College View Entire Review
you learn how to travel, how to meet and talk to new people, and how to come out of your shell. Kayla Q - Carnegie Mellon University View Entire Review

I learned so much while I was abroad. When I was abroad, I had numerous worthwhile experiences learning about the industry that I would like to pursue. I was able to meet many people that are equally passionate as I am about their own disciplines and I loved learning with and from them. Kaden C - University of Utah View Entire Review
I learned a lot while abroad. I was able to travel on my own and experience a new country and culture, which helped with my confidence and feeling like a "true adult." The trip was very worthwhile because I was able to receive a lot of work experience and made life-long friends. A student - University of Maine - Orono View Entire Review
The thought of going and living in another country by yourself is scary, but it's definitely worthwhile. Studying abroad constantly required me to step out of my comfort zone whether it was physically (like skydiving), emotionally, or socially. Although it was short-lived, I have memories that'll last forever. Emma - University of Iowa View Entire Review

I found it incredibly valuable to attain a wider worldview outside of the sometimes limited one that American media offers; it gives you a chance to step back and view from a difference perspective. The cultural differences too were fascinating to note once you picked up on subtle nuances and understood the general values. Anoth... Jessica Wahl - Quinnipiac University View Entire Review
